'Parts Of The Body' in the Bible
For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, form a single body, so it is with the Messiah.
But quite the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are [absolutely] necessary;
and those parts of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness;
But those parts of the body which are beautiful have no need of such care: and so the body has been joined together by God in such a way as to give more honour to those parts which had need of it;
so that there would be no division or discord in the body [that is, lack of adaptation of the parts to each other], but that the parts may have the same concern for one another.
not adhering to the head, from which all the parts of the body derive its nutrition, and being firmly united together by its joints and ligaments, receives a divine increase.
