'Alone' in the Bible
I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostituteOr your brides when they commit adultery,For the men themselves slip away with prostitutes,And they offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes [who give their bodies in honor of the idol].So the people without understanding [stumble and fall and] come to ruin.
Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
They will not pour outtheir wine offerings to the Lord, and their sacrifices will not please Him.Their food will be like the bread of mourners;all who eat it become defiled. For their bread will be for their appetites alone;it will not enter the house of the Lord.
