'Leave' in the Bible
Then doth the Devil leave him, and lo, messengers came and were ministering to him.
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
and to him that would go to law with thee and take thy body coat, leave him thy cloak also.
But Jesus said to him, Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.
They cried out, "Son of God, leave us alone! Have you come here to torment us before the time?"
At that, the whole town went out to meet Jesus. When they saw Him, they begged Him to leave their region.
“Leave,” He said, “because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” And they started laughing at Him.
“When you enter any town or village, find out who is worthy, and stay there until you leave.
If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that house or town.
Are not two little sparrows sold for a copper coin? And yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
When the messengers had taken their leave, Jesus proceeded to say to the multitude concerning John, "What did you go out into the Desert to gaze at? A reed waving in the wind?
Leave both to grow together until the harvest, and at harvest-time I will direct the reapers, Collect the darnel first, and make it up into bundles to burn it, but bring all the wheat into my barn.'"
Leave them alone! They are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Then Jesus said, “Leave the children alone, and don’t try to keep them from coming to Me, because the kingdom of heaven is made up of people like this.”
Then Peter answering said to him, 'Lo, we did leave all, and follow thee, what then shall we have?'
So go to the main highways that lead out of the city, and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
But the rest said, "Leave him alone! Let's see if Elijah will come to save him."
Then Jesus told them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see Me there.”
