'Water' in the Bible
I sigh when food is put before me,and my groans pour out like water.
Their produce is taken by him who has no food, and their grain goes to the poor, and he who is in need of water gets it from their spring.
He gives rain to the earthand sends water to the fields.
“The caravans of Tema looked [for water],The caravans of Sheba waited for them [in vain].
They are ashamed because they had been confident of finding water.When they arrive there, they are frustrated.
Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
“While it is still green (in flower) and not cut down,Yet it withers before any other plant [when without water].
If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
You'll forget your suffering; you'll remember it like water that has evaporated.
When he withholds water, rivers dry up; when he lets them loose, they'll flood the land.
Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
As water disappears from the seaand a river becomes parched and dry,
as water wears away stonesand torrents wash away the soil from the land,so You destroy a man’s hope.
How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
or darkness, so you cannot see,and a flood of water covers you.
They float on the surface of the water.Their section of the land is cursed,so that they never go to their vineyards.
[He] ties up [the] water in its clouds, and [the] cloud is not torn open beneath it.
{He has described a circle} on [the] face of [the] water {between light and darkness}.
Terrors overtake him like the water; a storm wind carries him off [in the] night.
When God fixed the weight of the windand limited the water by measure,
My roots will have access to water,and the dew will rest on my branches all night.
But now my soul is turned to water in me, days of trouble overtake me:
What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
From the breath of God ice is produced, and a wide body of water is frozen.
Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunderstorm;
To give water to the land where there is waste and destruction, and to make the dry land green with young grass?
when water becomes as hard as stone,and the surface of the watery depths is frozen?
Can you command the cloudsso that a flood of water covers you?
Who has the wisdom to number the clouds?Or who can tilt the water jars of heaven
He takes his rest under the trees of the river, and in the pool, under the shade of the water-plants.
"Can you draw Leviathan out of the water with a hook, or tie down his tongue with a rope?
He causes the deep to boil like water in a pot, and churns the sea like one stirs ointment.
