'Refund' in the Bible
then he shall calculate the years since its sale and refund the balance to the man to whom he sold it, and so return to his property.
If he has not prospered enough to refund a balance to him, then what he sold will belong to the one who bought it until the jubilee year, but it must revert in the jubilee and the original owner may return to his property.
If there are still many years left, he is to refund the cost of his redemption.
But if only a few years are left until the year of jubilee, he is to bring an accounting of the years that he is to refund for his redemption.
