¹³ The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes. ¹⁴ The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. ¹⁵ The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Cause of the Poor

Proverbs 16:12

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.

Psalm 72:2-4

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

Proverbs 25:5

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Proverbs 29:4

The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

Isaiah 11:4
