'Common People' in the Bible

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the common people to ask for Barabbas, and so to destroy Jesus.

David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

At that very time Jesus rejoiced in [the power of] the Holy Spirit, and said [in prayer], "I praise you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you concealed these things [i.e., His divine revelations] from those [claiming to be] wise and intelligent and have revealed them to babies [i.e., to simple, sincere, common people]. But the common people which know not the law are accursed."

Be in harmony with one another. Do not have a high opinion of yourselves, but be in agreement with common people. Do not give yourselves an air of wisdom.
