For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.

He has filled the hungry with good things, and sent away the rich empty.

Much food is in the tillage of the poor; but there is that is lost for want of judgment.

And they measured with the omer: then he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little wanted nothing: they had gathered every man according to the measure of his eating.

According as it is written, He who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little was nothing short.

For neither was there any one in want among them; for as many as were owners of lands or houses, selling them, brought the price of what was sold

but on the principle of equality; in the present time your abundance for their lack, that their abundance may be for your lack, so that there should be equality.

and one from amongst you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled; but give not to them the needful things for the body, what is the profit?
