And He said to all, "If any one is desirous of following me, let him ignore self and take up his cross day by day, and so be my follower.
But he, desirous of justifying himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
The same hour certain Pharisees came up, saying to him, Get out, and go hence, for Herod is desirous to kill thee.
For which of you, desirous of building a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, if he have what is needed to complete it;
and he was desirous to fill his belly from the husks that the swine were eating, and no one was giving to him.
And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
Pilate therefore, desirous to release Jesus, again addressed them.
