'Godless' in the Bible

“But the wicked and worthless are all to be thrown away like thorns,Because they cannot be taken with the hand;

But he replied, "You're talking like one of the godless women would do! Should we receive what is good from God, and not also receive what is evil?" In all this Job did not sin by what he said.

Such is the destiny of all who forget God;the hope of the godless will perish.

“His [godless] roots are wrapped around a pile of rocks,And he gazes at a house of stones.

Yes, this will result in my deliverance,for no godless person can appear before Him.

For the company of the godless will have no children,and fire will consume the tents of those who offer bribes.

The upright are appalled at this,and the innocent are roused against the godless.

the joy of the wicked has been briefand the happiness of the godless has lasted only a moment?

For what hope does the godless man have when he is cut off,when God takes away his life?

so that godless men should not ruleor ensnare the people.

Those who have a godless heart harbor anger;even when God binds them, they do not cry for help.

With godless mockerythey gnashed their teeth at me.

I will not set anything worthless before my eyes.I hate the practice of transgression;it will not cling to me.

The arrogant have forged a lie against me,But I will keep Your precepts with all my heart.

The arrogant (godless) have dug pits for me,Men who do not conform to Your law.

All Your commandments are faithful and trustworthy.They have persecuted me with a lie; help me [Lord]!

When the wicked man dies, his expectation will perish;And the hope of [godless] strong men perishes.

By what he says, the godless person can destroy his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape.

Therefore the Lord does not rejoiceover Israel’s young menand has no compassionon its fatherless and widows,for everyone is a godless evildoer,and every mouth speaks folly.In all this, His anger is not removed,and His hand is still raised to strike.

I will send him against a godless nation;I will command him to goagainst a people destined for My rage,to take spoils, to plunder,and to trample them down like clay in the streets.

For a fool speaks foolishnessand his mind plots iniquity.He lives in a godless wayand speaks falsely about the Lord.He leaves the hungry emptyand deprives the thirsty of drink.

The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with everlasting flames?"

Moreover, the Lord says, "Both the prophets and priests are godless. I have even found them doing evil in my temple!

Every cooking pot in [all the houses in] Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the Lord of hosts, and all who sacrifice will come and take them and boil [their sacrifices] in them. And in that day there will no longer be a Canaanite [that is, any godless or spiritually unclean person, whether Jew or Gentile] in the house of the Lord of hosts.
