'Increase' in the Bible
Because in much wisdom is much grief, and increase of knowledge is increase of sorrow.
Also, the increase of the land belongs to everyone; the king himself is served by his field.
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?
Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?
If the iron hath been blunt, And he the face hath not sharpened, Then doth he increase strength, And wisdom is advantageous to make right.
