'Justice' in the Bible
By having been baptized with John's baptism, all the people who listened, including the tax collectors, acknowledged God's justice.
“But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.
And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’
yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice, so she doesn’t wear me out by her persistent coming.’”
Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?
I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?”
for these are days of vengeance [of rendering full justice or satisfaction], so that all things which are written will be fulfilled.
