³⁸ You must understand therefore, my brothers, that through him the forgiveness of your sins is announced to you, ³⁹ and that through union with him everyone who believes is cleared of every charge of which the Law of Moses could not clear you. ⁴⁰ Take care, therefore, that what is said in the prophets does not prove true of you:

Romans 8:3

For though it was impossible for the Law to do it, hampered as it was by our physical limitations, God, by sending his own Son in our sinful physical form, as a sin-offering, put his condemnation upon sin through his physical nature,
