וַיַּ֨עַל

from the plains

מוֹאָב֙

mō·w·’āḇ

אֶל־

’el-

to

הַ֣ר

､ נְב֔וֹ

nə·ḇōw,

Nebo ､

רֹ֚אשׁ

rōš

to the top

､ הַפִּסְגָּ֔ה

hap·pis·gāh,

of Pisgah ､

אֲשֶׁ֖ר

’ă·šer

עַל־

‘al-

פְּנֵ֣י

pə·nê

. יְרֵח֑וֹ

yə·rê·ḥōw;

וַיַּרְאֵ֨הוּ

way·yar·’ê·hū

יְהוָ֧ה

כָּל־

הָאָ֛רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

the land

אֶת־

’eṯ-

､ הַגִּלְעָ֖ד

hag·gil·‘āḏ

of Gilead ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

as far as

､ דָּֽן׃

dān.

Dan ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

כָּל־

kāl-

､ נַפְתָּלִ֔י

nap̄·tā·lî,

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

אֶ֥רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

､ אֶפְרַ֖יִם

’ep̄·ra·yim

of Ephraim ､

､ וּמְנַשֶּׁ֑ה

ū·mə·naš·šeh;

and Manasseh ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

כָּל־

kāl-

אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

､ יְהוּדָ֔ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

עַ֖ד

‘aḏ

as far as

､ הַיָּ֥ם

hay·yām

the Sea ､

. הָאַחֲרֽוֹן׃

hā·’a·ḥă·rō·wn.

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

And

､ הַנֶּ֗גֶב

han·ne·ḡeḇ,

the Negev ､

וְֽאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

הַכִּכָּ֞ר

hak·kik·kār

בִּקְעַ֧ת

biq·‘aṯ

of the Valley

､ יְרֵח֛וֹ

yə·rê·ḥōw

of Jericho ､

עִ֥יר

‘îr

the city

､ הַתְּמָרִ֖ים

hat·tə·mā·rîm

עַד־

‘aḏ-

as far as

. צֹֽעַר׃

ṣō·‘ar.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יְהוָ֜ה

Yah·weh

אֵלָ֗יו

’ê·lāw,

to him

זֹ֤את

zōṯ

this [is]

הָאָ֙רֶץ֙

hā·’ā·reṣ

the land

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

נִ֠שְׁבַּעְתִּי

niš·ba‘·tî

I swore to give

､ לְאַבְרָהָ֨ם

lə·’aḇ·rā·hām

､ לְיִצְחָ֤ק

lə·yiṣ·ḥāq

､ וּֽלְיַעֲקֹב֙

ū·lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ

and Jacob ､

､ לֵאמֹ֔ר

lê·mōr,

– לְזַרְעֲךָ֖

lə·zar·‘ă·ḵā

to your descendants –

אֶתְּנֶ֑נָּה

’et·tə·nen·nāh;

I will give it

הֶרְאִיתִ֣יךָ

her·’î·ṯî·ḵā

I have caused you to see [it]

､ בְעֵינֶ֔יךָ

ḇə·‘ê·ne·ḵā,

with your eyes ､

וְשָׁ֖מָּה

wə·šām·māh

לֹ֥א

not

. תַעֲבֹֽר׃

ṯa·‘ă·ḇōr.

you shall cross over .

וַיָּ֨מָת

way·yā·māṯ

שָׁ֜ם

יְהוָ֛ה

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

וַיִּקְבֹּ֨ר

way·yiq·bōr

And He buried

אֹת֤וֹ

בַגַּיְ֙

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ מוֹאָ֔ב

mō·w·’āḇ,

of Moab ､

מ֖וּל

mūl

בֵּ֣ית

– פְּע֑וֹר

pə·‘ō·wr;

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

but no

יָדַ֥ע

yā·ḏa‘

אִישׁ֙

’îš

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

קְבֻ֣רָת֔וֹ

qə·ḇu·rā·ṯōw,

עַ֖ד

‘aḏ

to

הַיּ֥וֹם

hay·yō·wm

. הַזֶּֽה׃

haz·zeh.

וּמֹשֶׁ֗ה

ū·mō·šeh,

And Moses [was]

בֶּן־

ben-

מֵאָ֧ה

mê·’āh

וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים

wə·‘eś·rîm

שָׁנָ֖ה

šā·nāh

､ בְּמֹת֑וֹ

bə·mō·ṯōw;

when he died ､

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

､ כָהֲתָ֥ה

ḵā·hă·ṯāh

עֵינ֖וֹ

‘ê·nōw

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

נָ֥ס

nās

. לֵחֹֽה׃

lê·ḥōh.

His natural vigor .

וַיִּבְכּוּ֩

way·yiḇ·kū

And wept

בְנֵ֨י

ḇə·nê

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל

yiś·rā·’êl

אֶת־

’eṯ-

מֹשֶׁ֛ה

mō·šeh

בְּעַֽרְבֹ֥ת

bə·‘ar·ḇōṯ

in the plains

מוֹאָ֖ב

mō·w·’āḇ

שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים

šə·lō·šîm

– י֑וֹם

yō·wm;

days –

. וַֽיִּתְּמ֔וּ

way·yit·tə·mū,

so ended .

The days

וַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּ

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֔וּ

way·ya·‘ă·śū,

and did

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

צִוָּ֥ה

יְהוָ֖ה

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

פָּנִ֖ים

אֶל־

to

､ פָּנִֽים׃

לְכָל־

הָ֨אֹת֜וֹת

､ וְהַמּוֹפְתִ֗ים

wə·ham·mō·wp̄·ṯîm,

and wonders ､

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

שְׁלָחוֹ֙

šə·lā·ḥōw

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ

to do

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

､ לְפַרְעֹ֥ה

lə·p̄ar·‘ōh

before Pharaoh ､

וּלְכָל־

ū·lə·ḵāl-

､ עֲבָדָ֖יו

‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw

his servants ､

וּלְכָל־

ū·lə·ḵāl-

and in all

､ אַרְצֽוֹ׃

’ar·ṣōw.

וּלְכֹל֙

ū·lə·ḵōl

and by all

､ הַיָּ֣ד

hay·yāḏ

the power ､

הַחֲזָקָ֔ה

ha·ḥă·zā·qāh,

וּלְכֹ֖ל

ū·lə·ḵōl

and all

הַמּוֹרָ֣א

ham·mō·w·rā

הַגָּד֑וֹל

hag·gā·ḏō·wl;

אֲשֶׁר֙

’ă·šer

עָשָׂ֣ה

‘ā·śāh

מֹשֶׁ֔ה

mō·šeh,

לְעֵינֵ֖י

lə·‘ê·nê

in the sight

כָּל־

kāl-

of all

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.
