､ רַבִּ֖ים

to pervert [justice] .

וְדָ֕ל

And to a poor man

You shall show partiality

. בְּרִיבֽוֹ׃

in his dispute .

and you would refrain

you shall help him

Keep yourself far ､

וְנָקִ֤י

and the innocent

וְצַדִּיק֙

wə·ṣad·dîq

､ תַּהֲרֹ֔ג

do kill ､

I will justify

. צַדִּיקִֽים׃

of the righteous .

וְגֵ֖ר

､ תִלְחָ֑ץ

you shall oppress ､

וְאַתֶּ֗ם

wə·’at·tem,

יְדַעְתֶּם֙

､ הַגֵּ֔ר

hag·gêr,

of a stranger ､

כִּֽי־

in the land

וְהַשְּׁבִיעִ֞ת

But the seventh [year]

תִּשְׁמְטֶ֣נָּה

tiš·mə·ṭen·nāh

you shall let it rest

､ וּנְטַשְׁתָּ֗הּ

ū·nə·ṭaš·tāh,

and lie fallow ､

וְאָֽכְלוּ֙

wə·’ā·ḵə·lū

אֶבְיֹנֵ֣י

’eḇ·yō·nê

the poor

– עַמֶּ֔ךָ

‘am·me·ḵā,

of your people –

וְיִתְרָ֕ם

wə·yiṯ·rām

and what they leave

תֹּאכַ֖ל

tō·ḵal

חַיַּ֣ת

ḥay·yaṯ

. הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה

haś·śā·ḏeh;

of the field .

כֵּֽן־

kên-

תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

､ לְכַרְמְךָ֖

lə·ḵar·mə·ḵā

with your vineyard ､

. לְזֵיתֶֽךָ׃

lə·zê·ṯe·ḵā.

[and] your olive grove .

יָמִים֙

yā·mîm

תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

､ מַעֲשֶׂ֔יךָ

ma·‘ă·śe·ḵā,

וּבַיּ֥וֹם

ū·ḇay·yō·wm

and on the day

הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י

haš·šə·ḇî·‘î

– תִּשְׁבֹּ֑ת

tiš·bōṯ;

you shall rest –

לְמַ֣עַן

lə·ma·‘an

יָנ֗וּחַ

yā·nū·aḥ,

､ שֽׁוֹרְךָ֙

šō·wr·ḵā

your ox ､

､ וַחֲמֹרֶ֔ךָ

wa·ḥă·mō·re·ḵā,

and your donkey ､

וְיִנָּפֵ֥שׁ

wə·yin·nā·p̄êš

and may be refreshed

בֶּן־

ben-

the son

､ אֲמָתְךָ֖

’ă·mā·ṯə·ḵā

of your maidservant ､

. וְהַגֵּֽר׃

wə·hag·gêr.

and the stranger .

וּבְכֹ֛ל

ū·ḇə·ḵōl

And in all

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

אָמַ֥רְתִּי

’ā·mar·tî

אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם

’ă·lê·ḵem

to you

. תִּשָּׁמֵ֑רוּ

be circumspect .

וְשֵׁ֨ם

And the name

אֱלֹהִ֤ים

I commanded you

the Hivite ､

and the Jebusite –

. וְהִכְחַדְתִּֽיו׃

and I will cut them off .

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

תַעֲשֶׂ֖ה

ṯa·‘ă·śeh

do

– כְּמַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם

kə·ma·‘ă·śê·hem;

according to their works –

כִּ֤י

but

הָרֵס֙

hā·rês

תְּהָ֣רְסֵ֔ם

tə·hā·rə·sêm,

you shall overthrow them

וְשַׁבֵּ֥ר

wə·šab·bêr

תְּשַׁבֵּ֖ר

tə·šab·bêr

. מַצֵּבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃

maṣ·ṣê·ḇō·ṯê·hem.

their [sacred] pillars .

וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֗ם

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem,

So you shall serve

and He will bless

וְאֶת־

､ מֵימֶ֑יךָ

וַהֲסִרֹתִ֥י

and I will take away

מַחֲלָ֖ה

ma·ḥă·lāh

. מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃

miq·qir·be·ḵā.

from the midst of you .

suffer miscarriage ､

וַעֲקָרָ֖ה

in your land –

and I will make

turn [their] backs .

וְשָׁלַחְתִּ֥י

And I will send

אֶת־

’eṯ-

הַצִּרְעָ֖ה

haṣ·ṣir·‘āh

לְפָנֶ֑יךָ

lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā;

וְגֵרְשָׁ֗ה

wə·ḡê·rə·šāh,

and which shall drive out

אֶת־

’eṯ-

､ הַחִוִּ֧י

ha·ḥiw·wî

the Hivite ､

אֶת־

’eṯ-

､ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֛י

. הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃

of the field .

מְעַ֥ט

אֲגָרְשֶׁ֖נּוּ

I will drive them out

מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ

from before you

､ תִּפְרֶ֔ה

you have increased ､

וְנָחַלְתָּ֖

and you inherit

the land .

וְשַׁתִּ֣י

And I will set

גְּבֻלְךָ֗

מִיַּם־

סוּף֙

וְעַד־

wə·‘aḏ-

and to

יָ֣ם

the sea

､ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

pə·liš·tîm,

of the Philistines ､

וּמִמִּדְבָּ֖ר

ū·mim·miḏ·bār

and from the desert

עַד־

‘aḏ-

to

– הַנָּהָ֑ר

han·nā·hār;

the River –

כִּ֣י ׀

אֶתֵּ֣ן

’et·tên

I will deliver

בְּיֶדְכֶ֗ם

bə·yeḏ·ḵem,

אֵ֚ת

’êṯ

יֹשְׁבֵ֣י

yō·šə·ḇê

the inhabitants

､ הָאָ֔רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ,

of the land ､

וְגֵרַשְׁתָּ֖מוֹ

wə·ḡê·raš·tā·mōw

and you shall drive them out

. מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃

mip·pā·ne·ḵā.

with them ､

וְלֵאלֹֽהֵיהֶ֖ם
