'Good News' in the Bible
the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
And the angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.
Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.
And with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
but he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because I was sent for this purpose."
He answered them, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have the good news preached to them.
Soon afterward, he went on through every city and village, preaching and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him,
The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had the good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,
