'To the Lord' in the Bible
Again you have heard that it was said to the ancients, Thou shalt not swear falsely, but shall perform unto the Lord thine oaths.
And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord, their God.
And when the days of their purification were fulfilled, according to the law of Moses, they carried him up into Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord,
as it was written in the law of the Lord; That every male opening the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;

Therefore if any one may cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, having been sanctified, well pleasing to the Lord, having been prepared unto every good work.
