And Jesus said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste (experience) death before they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”

And after six days, Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up into a high mountain out of the way alone, and he was transfigured before them.

On their way down the mountain, Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

And, if any one say to you, 'Why do ye this?' say ye, 'The Lord hath need of him;' and straight-way he will send him back hither."

And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

while those who led the way and those who followed kept shouting "God save Him!" Blessed be He who comes in the Lord's name.

The chief priests and the scribes heard this and began searching for a way to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, since the entire crowd was struck with astonishment at His teaching.

and asked him, "What authority have you for acting in this way? Who gave you authority to act in this way?"

Then they argued with one another in this way, "If we say, 'It was from heaven,' He will say, 'Then why did you not believe him?'

Then Jesus address'd himself to them in this parabolical manner. a certain person planted a vineyard, made a fence about it, clear'd the way for a wine-press, built a tower, and committed it to the care of vine-dressers, while he was travelling abroad.

And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

Jesus said to them, “Is this not why you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures [that teach the resurrection] nor the power of God [who is able to raise the dead]?

And that to love Him with all one's heart, with all one's understanding, and with all one's strength, and to love one's neighbor the same way he loves himself, are far more [important] than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices [in the world]."

David himself therefore calls him Lord, and in what way is he his son? And the great multitude heard him gladly.

In the same way, when you see these things happening, know that He is near—at the door!

After two days it was the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. The chief priests and the scribes were looking for a treacherous way to arrest and kill Him.

And when they [i.e., the leading priests] realized this, they were very pleased and promised to give him money. So, Judas began looking for a convenient way to turn Jesus over to these Jewish leaders.

And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them - Go your way into the city, and there will meet you a man, a jar of water, bearing, - follow him;

For the Son of Man is going His way as it is written about Him; but alas for the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been a happy thing for that man, had he never been born."

But Peter kept insisting emphatically, "Even if I have to die with you, still I will not deny [knowing] you." And all the rest of the disciples spoke the same way.

And he went on a little way and threw himself on the ground and prayed that if it were possible he might be spared the hour of trial,

He came back a third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough [of that]! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

And Peter followed him a great way off, even into the palace of the high priest, and he was there and sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

And not even this way was their testimony consistent.

And they led Jesus out to crucify him; and they compelled a passer-by, Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them to carry his cross.

In the same way also the chief priests, along with the scribes, were mocking [him] to one another, saying, "He saved others; he is not able to save himself!

When the centurion, who was standing opposite Him, saw the way He breathed His last [being fully in control], he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

at this they started out, and fled from the sepulchre in a violent consternation, without speaking a word to any by the way: they were so frighted.
