I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Yea every man walketh as it were a shadow, and disquieteth himself in vain: he heapeth up riches, and cannot tell who shall gather them.
And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity, and his heart conceiveth falsehood within himself; and when he cometh forth, he telleth it.

Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to Your precepts].

He who commits adultery [with] a woman lacks {sense}, he destroys himself who does it.
He getteth himself also shame and dishonour, such as shall never be put out.
"The LORD himself had me in possession in the beginning of his ways, before he began his works afore time.
“But he who fails to find me or sins against me injures himself;
All those who hate me love and court death.”
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
The one who gathers crops in the summer is a wise son, but the one who sleeps during the harvest is a son who brings shame to himself.
The wise-hearted man will let himself be ruled, but the man whose talk is foolish will have a fall.
The one who conducts himself in integrity will live securely, but the one who behaves perversely will be found out.

When a person's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he even reconciles his enemies to himself.
