But after a little while they who stood by, came up and said to Peter, Assuredly thou also art one of them: for even thy speech maketh thee manifest.

Then saith Pilate to him, Hearest thou not how many things they testify against thee?

as it is written in the prophets; "Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, he shall prepare thy way before thee.

saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
