'Free' in the Bible
Being conscious that you have been made free from that foolish way of life which was your heritage from your fathers, not through a payment of things like silver or gold which come to destruction,
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Married men, in the same way, live with your wives with a clear recognition of the fact that they are weaker than you. Yet, since you are heirs with them of God's free gift of Life, treat them with honour; so that your prayers may not be hindered.
For,“The one who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good—whether apparent or not],Must keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from speaking guile (treachery, deceit).
