Indeed, I have become like a man who hears nothing, and in whose mouth there is no rebuke.

So I commended enjoyment because there is nothing better for man under the sun than to eat, drink, and enjoy himself, for this will accompany him in his labor during the days of his life that God gives him under the sun.

At least the living know they will die, but the dead know nothing; they no longer have a reward, since memory about them has been forgotten.

When no work is done the roof goes in, and when the hands do nothing water comes into the house.
