Summary

And David arose and went with all the people who were with him to

Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God which is called by the Name, the very name of the Lord of hosts who is enthroned above the cherubim.

The cherubims

You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat.

Now when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with Him, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim, so He spoke to him.

Hophni

Now the sons of Eli were

worthless men; they did not know the Lord

But to the wicked God says,
“What right have you to tell of My statutes
And to take My covenant in your mouth?

“But now will you not entreat God’s favor, that He may be gracious to us? With such an offering on your part, will He receive any of you kindly?” says the Lord of hosts.

And the evil spirit answered and said to them, “I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?”
