Daniel Explains And Interprets The Vision

¹⁶ I approached one of those who stood by and began asking him the exact meaning of all this. So he told me and explained to me the interpretation of the things: ¹⁷ ‘These four great beasts are four kings who will arise from the earth. ¹⁸ But the saints (believers) of the Most High [God] will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, for all ages to come.’

Psalm 17:14

From men with Your hand, O Lord,
From men of the world [these moths of the night] whose portion [of enjoyment] is in this life—idle and vain,
And whose belly You fill with Your treasure;

And they leave what they have left [of wealth] to their children.
