¹⁵ “One witness cannot establish any wrongdoing or sin against a person, whatever that person has done. A fact must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. ¹⁶ “If a malicious witness testifies against someone accusing him of a crime, ¹⁷ the two people in the dispute must stand in the presence of the Lord before the priests and judges in authority at that time.

False Witness

Psalm 27:12

Do not give me over to the will of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing violence.

Psalm 35:11

Malicious witnesses come forward;
they question me about things I do not know.

Exodus 23:1-7

“You must not spread a false report. Do not join the wicked to be a malicious witness.

1 Kings 21:10-13

Then seat two wicked men opposite him and have them testify against him, saying, “You have cursed God and the king!” Then take him out and stone him to death.
