And search

so that a search may be made in the record books of your fathers. And you will discover in the record books and learn that that city is a rebellious city and damaging to kings and provinces, and that they have incited revolt within it in past days; therefore that city was laid waste.

“Now if it pleases the king, let a search be conducted in the king’s treasure house, which is there in Babylon, if it be that a decree was issued by King Cyrus to rebuild this house of God at Jerusalem; and let the king send to us his decision concerning this matter.”

“I was a father to the needy,
And I investigated the case which I did not know.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.

“Take a

scroll and write on it all the words which I have spoken to you concerning Israel and concerning Judah, and concerning all the nations, from the day I first spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day.

Then I looked, and behold, a hand was extended to me; and lo, a

scroll was in it.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a

book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.
