And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

I also say to you that you are

Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

and the living One; and I

was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

“Behold, He tears down, and it cannot be rebuilt;
He

imprisons a man, and there can be no release.

Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:

He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this:

and strip Aaron of his garments and put them on his son Eleazar. So Aaron will be gathered to his people, and will die there.”
