Thus says your Lord, the Lord, even your God
Who contends for His people,
“Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling,
The chalice of My anger;
You will never drink it again.

But they will become his slaves so that they may learn the difference between My service and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.”

and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your

benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.

By thee

And in that day you will say,
“Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name.

Make known His deeds among the peoples;

Make them remember that His name is exalted.”

so that you will not associate with these nations, these which remain among you, or mention the name of their gods, or make anyone swear by them, or serve them, or bow down to them.

Then one’s uncle, or his

undertaker, will lift him up to carry out his bones from the house, and he will say to the one who is in the innermost part of the house, “Is anyone else with you?” And that one will say, “No one.” Then he will answer, “Keep quiet. For the name of the Lord is not to be mentioned.”

For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.
