Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.” So Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac.

You, even You, are to be feared;
And who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry?

“My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so he

revered Me and stood in awe of My name.

Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in

hell.

But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into

hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!

“Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy;
For all the nations will come and worship before You,
For Your

righteous acts have been revealed.”
