Jesus Predicts His Death

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man [on the cross], you will know then [without any doubt] that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own authority, but I say these things just as My Father taught Me. ²⁹ And He who sent Me is [always] with Me; He has not left Me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.” ³⁰ As He said these things, many believed in Him.

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to completely finish His work.

Matthew 3:17

and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!”
