Punishment For Disobedience

²⁷ “And if in spite of this you do not obey Me but act with hostility toward Me, ²⁸ I will act with furious hostility toward you; I will also discipline you seven times for your sins. ²⁹ You will eat the flesh of your sons; you will eat the flesh of your daughters.

Seven Times

Isaiah 59:18

So He will repay according to their deeds:
fury to His enemies,
retribution to His foes,
and He will repay the coastlands.

Isaiah 63:3

I trampled the winepress alone,
and no one from the nations was with Me.
I trampled them in My anger
and ground them underfoot in My fury;
their blood spattered My garments,
and all My clothes were stained.

Isaiah 66:15

Look, the Lord will come with fire—
His chariots are like the whirlwind—
to execute His anger with fury
and His rebuke with flames of fire.

Jeremiah 21:5

I will fight against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm, with anger, rage, and great wrath.

Ezekiel 5:13

When My anger is spent and I have vented My wrath on them, I will be appeased. Then after I have spent My wrath on them, they will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken in My jealousy.

Ezekiel 5:15

So you will be a disgrace and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations around you when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and furious rebukes. I, Yahweh, have spoken.
