Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes,

“You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth;
Therefore I will

punish you for all your iniquities.”

This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Therefore you have no excuse,

everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
