Persecution Of Disciples Predicted

⁸ For nation will rise against nation, and realm against realm; there will be earthquakes here and there, and famines too. All that is but the beginning of the trouble. ⁹ Look to yourselves. Men will hand you over to Sanhedrins and you will be flogged in synagogues and brought before governors and kings for my sake, to testify to them. ¹⁰ (Ere the end, the gospel must be preached to all nations.)

Matthew 10:17-18

Beware of men, they will hand you over to sanhedrins and scourge you in their synagogues,
