Proverbs 13:13

A Wise Son Lives Righteously

¹² Delayed hope makes the heart sick,
but fulfilled desire is a tree of life. ¹³ The one who has contempt for instruction will pay the penalty,
but the one who respects a command will be rewarded. ¹⁴ A wise man’s instruction is a fountain of life,
turning people away from the snares of death.

Despises the Word

2 Chronicles 36:16

But they kept ridiculing God’s messengers, despising His words, and scoffing at His prophets, until the Lord’s wrath was so stirred up against His people that there was no remedy.

Numbers 15:31

He will certainly be cut off, because he has despised the Lord’s word and broken His command; his guilt remains on him.”
