Romans 8:25

A Two-Stage Healing

²⁴ For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure. ²⁶ In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.

Hope that is Seen

1 Thessalonians 1:3

recalling unceasingly before our God and Father your work energized by faith, and your service motivated by love and unwavering hope in [the return of] our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 27:14

Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;

Isaiah 26:8

Indeed, in the path of Your judgments, O Lord,
We have waited expectantly for You;

Lamentations 3:25-26

The Lord is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him,
To those who seek Him [on the authority of God’s word].

Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace].

James 5:7-11

So wait patiently, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits [expectantly] for the precious harvest from the land, being patient about it, until it receives the early and late rains.

Revelation 1:9

I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos, [exiled there] because of [my preaching of] the word of God [regarding eternal salvation] and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:10

If anyone is destined for captivity, he will go into captivity; if anyone kills with a sword, he must be killed with a sword. Here is [the call for] the patient endurance and the faithfulness of the saints [which is seen in the response of God’s people to difficult times].

Revelation 14:12

Here is [encouragement for] the steadfast endurance of the saints (God’s people), those who habitually keep God’s commandments and their faith in Jesus.
