God's Promise To Zerubbabel

⁸ Then the word of the Lord came to me: ⁹ “Zerubbabel’s hands have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Hosts has sent me to you. ¹⁰ For who scorns the day of small things? These seven eyes of the Lord, which scan throughout the whole earth, will rejoice when they see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.”

Ezra 5:16

Then this same Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundation of God’s house in Jerusalem. It has been under construction from that time until now, yet it has not been completed.

They appointed the Levites who were 20 years old or more to supervise the work on the Lord’s house.
