､ הַאֲזִ֥ינוּ

ha·’ă·zî·nū

､ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

haš·šā·ma·yim

– וַאֲדַבֵּ֑רָה

wa·’ă·ḏab·bê·rāh;

and I will speak –

､ וְתִשְׁמַ֥ע

wə·ṯiš·ma‘

and hear ､

､ הָאָ֖רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

אִמְרֵי־

’im·rê-

. פִֽי׃

p̄î.

of my mouth .

יַעֲרֹ֤ף

ya·‘ă·rōp̄

､ כַּמָּטָר֙

kam·mā·ṭār

as the rain ､

לִקְחִ֔י

liq·ḥî,

תִּזַּ֥ל

tiz·zal

､ כַּטַּ֖ל

kaṭ·ṭal

as the dew ､

אִמְרָתִ֑י

’im·rā·ṯî;

כִּשְׂעִירִ֣ם

kiś·‘î·rim

עֲלֵי־

‘ă·lê-

on

､ דֶ֔שֶׁא

ḏe·še,

the tender herb ､

וְכִרְבִיבִ֖ים

wə·ḵir·ḇî·ḇîm

and as showers

עֲלֵי־

‘ă·lê-

on

. עֵֽשֶׂב׃

‘ê·śeḇ.

the grass .

כִּ֛י

kî

שֵׁ֥ם

– יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

of Yahweh: –

אֶקְרָ֑א

’eq·rā;

הָב֥וּ

גֹ֖דֶל

ḡō·ḏel

. לֵאלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

lê·lō·hê·nū.

to our God .

､ הַצּוּר֙

haṣ·ṣūr

The [He is] Rock ､

､ תָּמִ֣ים

tā·mîm

פָּעֳל֔וֹ

pā·‘o·lōw,

כִּ֥י

kî

כָל־

ḵāl

דְּרָכָ֖יו

də·rā·ḵāw

– מִשְׁפָּ֑ט

miš·pāṭ;

אֵ֤ל

’êl

אֱמוּנָה֙

’ĕ·mū·nāh

וְאֵ֣ין

wə·’ên

､ עָ֔וֶל

‘ā·wel,

צַדִּ֥יק

ṣad·dîq

וְיָשָׁ֖ר

wə·yā·šār

. הֽוּא׃

hū.

[is] He .

שִׁחֵ֥ת

They have corrupted

ל֛וֹ

､ בָּנָ֣יו

[They are] His children ､

מוּמָ֑ם

mū·mām;

because of their blemish

דּ֥וֹר

עִקֵּ֖שׁ

‘iq·qêš

. וּפְתַלְתֹּֽל׃

ū·p̄ə·ṯal·tōl.

､ הֲ־

hă-

Do ､

לַיְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

תִּגְמְלוּ־

tiḡ·mə·lū-

you do

זֹ֔את

zōṯ,

עַ֥ם

‘am

נָבָ֖ל

nā·ḇāl

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

and

؟ חָכָ֑ם

ḥā·ḵām;

הֲלוֹא־

hă·lō·w-

[Is] not

הוּא֙

hū

He

אָבִ֣יךָ

’ā·ḇî·ḵā

קָּנֶ֔ךָ

qā·ne·ḵā,

[who] bought you

ה֥וּא

hū

He

עָֽשְׂךָ֖

‘ā·śə·ḵā

Has not made you

. וַֽיְכֹנְנֶֽךָ׃

way·ḵō·nə·ne·ḵā.

and established you .

זְכֹר֙

zə·ḵōr

יְמ֣וֹת

yə·mō·wṯ

the days

､ עוֹלָ֔ם

‘ō·w·lām,

of old ､

בִּ֖ינוּ

bî·nū

שְׁנ֣וֹת

šə·nō·wṯ

דּוֹר־

dō·wr-

of

. וָד֑וֹר

wā·ḏō·wr;

and many generations .

שְׁאַ֤ל

šə·’al

､ אָבִ֙יךָ֙

’ā·ḇî·ḵā

your father ､

וְיַגֵּ֔דְךָ

wə·yag·gê·ḏə·ḵā,

and he will show you

､ זְקֵנֶ֖יךָ

zə·qê·ne·ḵā

Your elders ､

וְיֹ֥אמְרוּ

wə·yō·mə·rū

and they will tell

. לָֽךְ׃

lāḵ.

בְּהַנְחֵ֤ל

bə·han·ḥêl

When divided their inheritance to

עֶלְיוֹן֙

‘el·yō·wn

גּוֹיִ֔ם

gō·w·yim,

בְּהַפְרִיד֖וֹ

bə·hap̄·rî·ḏōw

when He separated

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

､ אָדָ֑ם

’ā·ḏām;

of Adam ､

יַצֵּב֙

yaṣ·ṣêḇ

He set

גְּבֻלֹ֣ת

gə·ḇu·lōṯ

עַמִּ֔ים

‘am·mîm,

of the peoples

לְמִסְפַּ֖ר

lə·mis·par

According to the number

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

of the sons

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

of God .

כִּ֛י

kî

חֵ֥לֶק

ḥê·leq

יְהֹוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

– עַמּ֑וֹ

‘am·mōw;

[is] His people –

יַעֲקֹ֖ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ

Jacob [is]

חֶ֥בֶל

ḥe·ḇel

. נַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃

na·ḥă·lā·ṯōw.

of His inheritance .

יִמְצָאֵ֙הוּ֙

yim·ṣā·’ê·hū

､ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in a land ､

מִדְבָּ֔ר

miḏ·bār,

וּבְתֹ֖הוּ

ū·ḇə·ṯō·hū

and in the wasteland

יְלֵ֣ל

yə·lêl

– יְשִׁמֹ֑ן

yə·ši·mōn;

a wilderness –

､ יְסֹֽבְבֶ֙נְהוּ֙

yə·sō·ḇə·ḇen·hū

He encircled him ､

יְב֣וֹנְנֵ֔הוּ

yə·ḇō·wn·nê·hū,

He instructed him

יִצְּרֶ֖נְהוּ

yiṣ·ṣə·ren·hū

כְּאִישׁ֥וֹן

kə·’î·šō·wn

as the apple

. עֵינֽוֹ׃

‘ê·nōw.

of His eye .

כְּנֶ֙שֶׁר֙

kə·ne·šer

As an eagle

יָעִ֣יר

yā·‘îr

､ קִנּ֔וֹ

qin·nōw,

עַל־

‘al-

､ גּוֹזָלָ֖יו

gō·w·zā·lāw

יְרַחֵ֑ף

yə·ra·ḥêp̄;

יִפְרֹ֤שׂ

yip̄·rōś

､ כְּנָפָיו֙

kə·nā·p̄āw

יִקָּחֵ֔הוּ

yiq·qā·ḥê·hū,

יִשָּׂאֵ֖הוּ

yiś·śā·’ê·hū

עַל־

‘al-

on

. אֶבְרָתֽוֹ׃

’eḇ·rā·ṯōw.

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

בָּדָ֣ד

bā·ḏāḏ

יַנְחֶ֑נּוּ

yan·ḥen·nū;

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there was] no

עִמּ֖וֹ

‘im·mōw

with him

אֵ֥ל

’êl

. נֵכָֽר׃

nê·ḵār.

יַרְכִּבֵ֙הוּ֙

yar·ki·ḇê·hū

He made him ride

עַל־

‘al-

in

[במותי]

bā·mō·w·ṯê

-

(בָּ֣מֳתֵי‪‬)

bā·mo·ṯê

the heights of

､ אָ֔רֶץ

’ā·reṣ,

the earth ､

וַיֹּאכַ֖ל

way·yō·ḵal

that he might eat

תְּנוּבֹ֣ת

tə·nū·ḇōṯ

– שָׂדָ֑י

śā·ḏāy;

of the fields –

וַיֵּנִקֵ֤הֽוּ

way·yê·ni·qê·hū

and He made him draw

דְבַשׁ֙

ḏə·ḇaš

､ מִסֶּ֔לַע

mis·se·la‘,

from the rock ､

וְשֶׁ֖מֶן

wə·še·men

and oil

מֵחַלְמִ֥ישׁ

mê·ḥal·mîš

– צֽוּר׃

ṣūr.

the rock –

חֶמְאַ֨ת

ḥem·’aṯ

､ בָּקָ֜ר

bā·qār

the cattle ､

וַחֲלֵ֣ב

wa·ḥă·lêḇ

and milk

､ צֹ֗אן

ṣōn,

of the flock ､

עִם־

‘im-

with

חֵ֨לֶב

ḥê·leḇ

､ כָּרִ֜ים

kā·rîm

of lambs ､

וְאֵילִ֤ים

wə·’ê·lîm

and rams

בְּנֵֽי־

bə·nê-

of the breed

､ בָשָׁן֙

ḇā·šān

of Bashan ､

､ וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים

wə·‘at·tū·ḏîm,

and goats ､

עִם־

‘im-

with

חֵ֖לֶב

ḥê·leḇ

the

כִּלְי֣וֹת

kil·yō·wṯ

– חִטָּ֑ה

ḥiṭ·ṭāh;

וְדַם־

wə·ḏam-

and the blood

עֵנָ֖ב

‘ê·nāḇ

of the grapes

תִּשְׁתֶּה־

tiš·teh-

. חָֽמֶר׃

ḥā·mer.

､ וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ן

way·yiš·man

But grew fat ､

יְשֻׁרוּן֙

yə·šu·rūn

– וַיִּבְעָ֔ט

way·yiḇ·‘āṭ,

and kicked –

､ שָׁמַ֖נְתָּ

šā·man·tā

You grew fat ､

､ עָבִ֣יתָ

‘ā·ḇî·ṯā

you grew thick ､

כָּשִׂ֑יתָ

kā·śî·ṯā;

וַיִּטֹּשׁ֙

way·yiṭ·ṭōš

and he forsook

אֱל֣וֹהַ

’ĕ·lō·w·ha

עָשָׂ֔הוּ

‘ā·śā·hū,

וַיְנַבֵּ֖ל

way·nab·bêl

and esteemed scornfully

צ֥וּר

ṣūr

the Rock

. יְשֻׁעָתֽוֹ׃

yə·šu·‘ā·ṯōw.

of his salvation .

יַקְנִאֻ֖הוּ

yaq·ni·’u·hū

They provoked Him to jealousy

בְּזָרִ֑ים

bə·zā·rîm;

with foreign [gods]

בְּתוֹעֵבֹ֖ת

bə·ṯō·w·‘ê·ḇōṯ

with abominations

. יַכְעִיסֻֽהוּ׃

yaḵ·‘î·su·hū.

they provoked Him to anger .

יִזְבְּח֗וּ

yiz·bə·ḥū,

They sacrificed

､ לַשֵּׁדִים֙

laš·šê·ḏîm

to demons ､

לֹ֣א

lō

not

– אֱלֹ֔הַ

’ĕ·lō·ha,

to God –

אֱלֹהִ֖ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

[To [gods]

､ לֹ֣א

lō

not ､

יְדָע֑וּם

yə·ḏā·‘ūm;

חֲדָשִׁים֙

ḥă·ḏā·šîm

､ מִקָּרֹ֣ב

miq·qā·rōḇ

new ､

בָּ֔אוּ

bā·’ū,

לֹ֥א

not

שְׂעָר֖וּם

śə·‘ā·rūm

. אֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem.

צ֥וּר

ṣūr

Of the Rock

יְלָדְךָ֖

yə·lā·ḏə·ḵā

[who] brought you you forth

､ תֶּ֑שִׁי

te·šî;

you are unmindful ､

וַתִּשְׁכַּ֖ח

wat·tiš·kaḥ

and have forgotten

אֵ֥ל

’êl

the God

. מְחֹלְלֶֽךָ׃

mə·ḥō·lə·le·ḵā.

who gave you birth .

וַיַּ֥רְא

way·yar

And when saw [it]

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

וַיִּנְאָ֑ץ

way·yin·’āṣ;

and He spurned [them]

מִכַּ֥עַס

mik·ka·‘as

because of the provocation

､ בָּנָ֖יו

bā·nāw

of His sons ､

. וּבְנֹתָֽיו׃

ū·ḇə·nō·ṯāw.

and His daughters .

､ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

way·yō·mer,

And He said ､

אַסְתִּ֤ירָה

’as·tî·rāh

I will hide

פָנַי֙

p̄ā·nay

מֵהֶ֔ם

mê·hem,

אֶרְאֶ֖ה

’er·’eh

I will see

מָ֣ה

māh

what [will be]

אַחֲרִיתָ֑ם

’a·ḥă·rî·ṯām;

כִּ֣י

kî

､ ד֤וֹר

ḏō·wr

a generation ､

תַּהְפֻּכֹת֙

tah·pu·ḵōṯ

הֵ֔מָּה

hêm·māh,

בָּנִ֖ים

bā·nîm

לֹא־

lō-

no

אֵמֻ֥ן

’ê·mun

. בָּֽם׃

bām.

in whom [is] .

הֵ֚ם

hêm

קִנְא֣וּנִי

qin·’ū·nî

have provoked Me to jealousy

בְלֹא־

ḇə·lō-

by not

– אֵ֔ל

’êl,

[what] is God –

כִּעֲס֖וּנִי

ki·‘ă·sū·nî

they have moved Me to anger

. בְּהַבְלֵיהֶ֑ם

bə·haḇ·lê·hem;

by their foolish idols .

וַאֲנִי֙

wa·’ă·nî

So I

אַקְנִיאֵ֣ם

’aq·nî·’êm

will provoke them to jealousy

בְּלֹא־

bə·lō-

by not

– עָ֔ם

‘ām,

[those who are] a nation –

בְּג֥וֹי

bə·ḡō·w

נָבָ֖ל

nā·ḇāl

. אַכְעִיסֵֽם׃

’aḵ·‘î·sêm.

I will move them to anger .

כִּי־

kî-

אֵשׁ֙

’êš

קָדְחָ֣ה

qā·ḏə·ḥāh

､ בְאַפִּ֔י

ḇə·’ap·pî,

by my anger ､

וַתִּיקַ֖ד

wat·tî·qaḏ

עַד־

‘aḏ-

to

､ שְׁא֣וֹל

šə·’ō·wl

the hell ､

תַּחְתִּ֑ית

taḥ·tîṯ;

וַתֹּ֤אכַל

wat·tō·ḵal

and it shall consume

אֶ֙רֶץ֙

’e·reṣ

､ וִֽיבֻלָ֔הּ

wî·ḇu·lāh,

with her increase ､

וַתְּלַהֵ֖ט

wat·tə·la·hêṭ

and set on fire

מוֹסְדֵ֥י

mō·ws·ḏê

the foundations

. הָרִֽים׃

hā·rîm.

of the mountains .

אַסְפֶּ֥ה

’as·peh

I will heap

עָלֵ֖ימוֹ

‘ā·lê·mōw

רָע֑וֹת

rā·‘ō·wṯ;

חִצַּ֖י

ḥiṣ·ṣay

אֲכַלֶּה־

’ă·ḵal·leh-

I will spend

. בָּֽם׃

bām.

on them .

מְזֵ֥י

mə·zê

[They shall be] wasted

､ רָעָ֛ב

rā·‘āḇ

with hunger ､

וּלְחֻ֥מֵי

ū·lə·ḥu·mê

､ רֶ֖שֶׁף

re·šep̄

by pestilence ､

– וְקֶ֣טֶב

wə·qe·ṭeḇ

and destruction –

מְרִירִ֑י

mə·rî·rî;

וְשֶׁן־

wə·šen-

and the teeth

בְּהֵמוֹת֙

bə·hê·mō·wṯ

אֲשַׁלַּח־

’ă·šal·laḥ-

I will send

בָּ֔ם

bām,

עִם־

‘im-

with

חֲמַ֖ת

ḥă·maṯ

זֹחֲלֵ֥י

zō·ḥă·lê

. עָפָֽר׃

‘ā·p̄ār.

of the dust .

､ מִחוּץ֙

mi·ḥūṣ

תְּשַׁכֶּל־

tə·šak·kel-

חֶ֔רֶב

ḥe·reḇ,

､ וּמֵחֲדָרִ֖ים

ū·mê·ḥă·ḏā·rîm

and within ､

אֵימָ֑ה

’ê·māh;

[There shall be] terror

גַּם־

gam-

בָּחוּר֙

bā·ḥūr

גַּם־

gam-

and

､ בְּתוּלָ֔ה

bə·ṯū·lāh,

יוֹנֵ֖ק

yō·w·nêq

the nursing child

עִם־

‘im-

with

אִ֥ישׁ

’îš

the man

. שֵׂיבָֽה׃

śê·ḇāh.

of gray hairs .

､ אָמַ֖רְתִּי

’ā·mar·tî

I would have said ､

､ אַפְאֵיהֶ֑ם

’ap̄·’ê·hem;

I will dash them in pieces ､

אַשְׁבִּ֥יתָה

’aš·bî·ṯāh

מֵאֱנ֖וֹשׁ

mê·’ĕ·nō·wōš

. זִכְרָֽם׃

ziḵ·rām.

I will make the memory of them .

לוּלֵ֗י

Not

כַּ֤עַס

ka·‘as

､ אוֹיֵב֙

’ō·w·yêḇ

of the enemy ､

אָג֔וּר

’ā·ḡūr,

פֶּֽן־

､ יְנַכְּר֖וּ

should misunderstand ､

צָרֵ֑ימוֹ

ṣā·rê·mōw;

their adversaries

､ יֹֽאמְרוּ֙

they should say ､

יָדֵ֣ינוּ

yā·ḏê·nū

､ רָ֔מָה

rā·māh,

[is] high ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

and it is not

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

פָּעַ֥ל

pā·‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

. זֹֽאת׃

zōṯ.

כִּי־

kî-

ג֛וֹי

ḡō·w

אֹבַ֥ד

’ō·ḇaḏ

､ עֵצ֖וֹת

‘ê·ṣō·wṯ

of counsel ､

הֵ֑מָּה

hêm·māh;

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] not

בָּהֶ֖ם

bā·hem

. תְּבוּנָֽה׃

tə·ḇū·nāh.

understanding .

ל֥וּ

lū

､ חָכְמ֖וּ

ḥā·ḵə·mū

they were wise ､

יַשְׂכִּ֣ילוּ

yaś·kî·lū

[that] they understood

､ זֹ֑את

zōṯ;

this ､

יָבִ֖ינוּ

yā·ḇî·nū

[That] they would consider

! לְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃

lə·’a·ḥă·rî·ṯām.

their latter end !

אֵיכָ֞ה

’ê·ḵāh

יִרְדֹּ֤ף

yir·dōp̄

אֶחָד֙

’e·ḥāḏ

､ אֶ֔לֶף

’e·lep̄,

וּשְׁנַ֖יִם

ū·šə·na·yim

and two

יָנִ֣יסוּ

yā·nî·sū

רְבָבָ֑ה

rə·ḇā·ḇāh;

אִם־

’im-

לֹא֙

lō

not

כִּי־

kî-

צוּרָ֣ם

ṣū·rām

מְכָרָ֔ם

mə·ḵā·rām,

וַֽיהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

؟ הִסְגִּירָֽם׃

his·gî·rām.

had surrendered them ؟

כִּ֛י

kî

לֹ֥א

lō

not

כְצוּרֵ֖נוּ

ḵə·ṣū·rê·nū

､ צוּרָ֑ם

ṣū·rām;

their rock [is] ､

וְאֹיְבֵ֖ינוּ

wə·’ō·yə·ḇê·nū

and Even our enemies themselves

. פְּלִילִֽים׃

pə·lî·lîm.

[being] judges .

כִּֽי־

kî-

מִגֶּ֤פֶן

mig·ge·p̄en

the vine

､ סְדֹם֙

sə·ḏōm

of Sodom ､

גַּפְנָ֔ם

gap̄·nām,

their vine [is]

וּמִשַּׁדְמֹ֖ת

ū·miš·šaḏ·mōṯ

and of the fields

– עֲמֹרָ֑ה

‘ă·mō·rāh;

of Gomorrah –

עֲנָבֵ֙מוֹ֙

‘ă·nā·ḇê·mōw

their grapes [are]

עִנְּבֵי־

‘in·nə·ḇê-

､ ר֔וֹשׁ

rō·wōš,

of gall ､

אַשְׁכְּלֹ֥ת

’aš·kə·lōṯ

מְרֹרֹ֖ת

mə·rō·rōṯ

. לָֽמוֹ׃

lā·mōw.

חֲמַ֥ת

ḥă·maṯ

､ תַּנִּינִ֖ם

tan·nî·nim

of serpents ､

יֵינָ֑ם

yê·nām;

their wine [is]

וְרֹ֥אשׁ

wə·rōš

and the venom

פְּתָנִ֖ים

pə·ṯā·nîm

. אַכְזָֽר׃

’aḵ·zār.

הֲלֹא־

hă·lō-

Is not

ה֖וּא

hū

כָּמֻ֣ס

kā·mus

laid up in store

עִמָּדִ֑י

‘im·mā·ḏî;

with Me

חָתֻ֖ם

ḥā·ṯum

؟ בְּאוֹצְרֹתָֽי׃

bə·’ō·wṣ·rō·ṯāy.

among My treasures ؟

לִ֤י

lî

､ נָקָם֙

nā·qām

– וְשִׁלֵּ֔ם

wə·šil·lêm,

and recompense –

– לְעֵ֖ת

lə·‘êṯ

in time –

תָּמ֣וּט

tā·mūṭ

רַגְלָ֑ם

raḡ·lām;

כִּ֤י

kî

､ קָרוֹב֙

qā·rō·wḇ

[is] at hand ､

י֣וֹם

yō·wm

the day

אֵידָ֔ם

’ê·ḏām,

of their calamity

וְחָ֖שׁ

wə·ḥāš

עֲתִדֹ֥ת

‘ă·ṯi·ḏōṯ

the things to come

. לָֽמוֹ׃

lā·mōw.

כִּֽי־

kî-

יָדִ֤ין

yā·ḏîn

will judge

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

､ עַמּ֔וֹ

‘am·mōw,

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and on

､ עֲבָדָ֖יו

‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw

His servants ､

יִתְנֶחָ֑ם

yiṯ·ne·ḥām;

have compassion

כִּ֤י

kî

יִרְאֶה֙

yir·’eh

כִּי־

kî-

､ אָ֣זְלַת

’ā·zə·laṯ

is gone ､

יָ֔ד

yāḏ,

וְאֶ֖פֶס

wə·’e·p̄es

and [there is] no one [remaining]

､ עָצ֥וּר

‘ā·ṣūr

bond ､

. וְעָזֽוּב׃

wə·‘ā·zūḇ.

or free .

､ וְאָמַ֖ר

wə·’ā·mar

And He will say ､

אֵ֣י

’ê

､ אֱלֹהֵ֑ימוֹ

’ĕ·lō·hê·mōw;

צ֖וּר

ṣūr

the rock

､ חָסָ֥יוּ

ḥā·sā·yū

they sought refuge ､

. בֽוֹ׃

ḇōw.

in which .

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

חֵ֤לֶב

ḥê·leḇ

the fat

､ זְבָחֵ֙ימוֹ֙

zə·ḇā·ḥê·mōw

of their sacrifices ､

יֹאכֵ֔לוּ

yō·ḵê·lū,

יִשְׁתּ֖וּ

yiš·tū

[And] drank

יֵ֣ין

yên

the wine

؟ נְסִיכָ֑ם

nə·sî·ḵām;

of their drink offering ؟

I

[even] I [am] ､

､ ה֔וּא

hū,

He ､

וְאֵ֥ין

and [there is] no

אֱלֹהִ֖ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

עִמָּדִ֑י

‘im·mā·ḏî;

אֲנִ֧י

’ă·nî

I

､ אָמִ֣ית

’ā·mîṯ

kill ､

– וַאֲחַיֶּ֗ה

wa·’ă·ḥay·yeh,

and I make alive –

､ מָחַ֙צְתִּי֙

mā·ḥaṣ·tî

I wound ､

וַאֲנִ֣י

wa·’ă·nî

and I

､ אֶרְפָּ֔א

’er·pā,

heal ､

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and [there is] none

מִיָּדִ֖י

mî·yā·ḏî

. מַצִּֽיל׃

maṣ·ṣîl.

who can deliver .

כִּֽי־

אֶשָּׂ֥א

’eś·śā

I lift up

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ שָׁמַ֖יִם

šā·ma·yim

יָדִ֑י

yā·ḏî;

､ וְאָמַ֕רְתִּי

wə·’ā·mar·tî

and say ､

חַ֥י

ḥay

אָנֹכִ֖י

’ā·nō·ḵî

[As] I

. לְעֹלָֽם׃

lə·‘ō·lām.

אִם־

’im-

If

שַׁנּוֹתִי֙

šan·nō·w·ṯî

בְּרַ֣ק

bə·raq

､ חַרְבִּ֔י

ḥar·bî,

וְתֹאחֵ֥ז

wə·ṯō·ḥêz

– בְּמִשְׁפָּ֖ט

bə·miš·pāṭ

on judgment –

יָדִ֑י

yā·ḏî;

אָשִׁ֤יב

’ā·šîḇ

I will render

נָקָם֙

nā·qām

､ לְצָרָ֔י

lə·ṣā·rāy,

to My enemies ､

וְלִמְשַׂנְאַ֖י

wə·lim·śan·’ay

and those who hate Me

. אֲשַׁלֵּֽם׃

’ă·šal·lêm.

אַשְׁכִּ֤יר

’aš·kîr

I will make drunk

חִצַּי֙

ḥiṣ·ṣay

､ מִדָּ֔ם

mid·dām,

with blood ､

וְחַרְבִּ֖י

wə·ḥar·bî

and My sword

תֹּאכַ֣ל

tō·ḵal

– בָּשָׂ֑ר

bā·śār;

מִדַּ֤ם

mid·dam

with the blood

חָלָל֙

ḥā·lāl

of the slain

､ וְשִׁבְיָ֔ה

wə·šiḇ·yāh,

and the captives ､

מֵרֹ֖אשׁ

mê·rōš

פַּרְע֥וֹת

par·‘ō·wṯ

of the leaders

. אוֹיֵֽב׃

’ō·w·yêḇ.

of the enemy .

､ הַרְנִ֤ינוּ

har·nî·nū

､ גוֹיִם֙

ḡō·w·yim

– עַמּ֔וֹ

‘am·mōw,

[with] His people –

כִּ֥י

kî

דַם־

ḏam-

､ עֲבָדָ֖יו

‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw

of His servants ､

יִקּ֑וֹם

yiq·qō·wm;

He will avenge

וְנָקָם֙

wə·nā·qām

יָשִׁ֣יב

yā·šîḇ

､ לְצָרָ֔יו

lə·ṣā·rāw,

to His adversaries ､

וְכִפֶּ֥ר

wə·ḵip·per

and He will provide atonement

､ אַדְמָת֖וֹ

’aḏ·mā·ṯōw

for His land ､

. עַמּֽוֹ׃

‘am·mōw.

[and] His people .
