בְּיוֹם־

On the day

הַחֹ֥דֶשׁ

הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן

hā·ri·šō·wn

בְּאֶחָ֣ד

bə·’e·ḥāḏ

לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ

la·ḥō·ḏeš;

תָּקִ֕ים

tā·qîm

you shall set up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מִשְׁכַּ֖ן

miš·kan

אֹ֥הֶל

’ō·hel

of the tent

. מוֹעֵֽד׃

mō·w·‘êḏ.

וְשַׂמְתָּ֣

wə·śam·tā

And You shall put

שָׁ֔ם

šām,

in it

אֵ֖ת

’êṯ

-

אֲר֣וֹן

’ă·rō·wn

the ark

､ הָעֵד֑וּת

hā·‘ê·ḏūṯ;

of the Testimony ､

וְסַכֹּתָ֥

wə·sak·kō·ṯā

and

עַל־

‘al-

הָאָרֹ֖ן

hā·’ā·rōn

the ark

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

. הַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃

hap·pā·rō·ḵeṯ.

the veil .

וְהֵבֵאתָ֙

wə·hê·ḇê·ṯā

And You shall bring in

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ן

haš·šul·ḥān,

the table ､

וְעָרַכְתָּ֖

wə·‘ā·raḵ·tā

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ עֶרְכּ֑וֹ

‘er·kōw;

the things that are to be set in order on it ､

וְהֵבֵאתָ֙

wə·hê·ḇê·ṯā

and you shall bring in

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַמְּנֹרָ֔ה

ham·mə·nō·rāh,

the lampstand ､

וְהַעֲלֵיתָ֖

wə·ha·‘ă·lê·ṯā

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. נֵרֹתֶֽיהָ׃

nê·rō·ṯe·hā.

וְנָתַתָּ֞ה

wə·nā·ṯat·tāh

And You shall set

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מִזְבַּ֤ח

miz·baḥ

הַזָּהָב֙

haz·zā·hāḇ

לִקְטֹ֔רֶת

liq·ṭō·reṯ,

for the incense

לִפְנֵ֖י

lip̄·nê

אֲר֣וֹן

’ă·rō·wn

the ark

､ הָעֵדֻ֑ת

hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ;

of the Testimony ､

וְשַׂמְתָּ֛

wə·śam·tā

and put up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מָסַ֥ךְ

mā·saḵ

הַפֶּ֖תַח

hap·pe·ṯaḥ

the door

. לַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃

lam·miš·kān.

of the tabernacle .

וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔ה

wə·nā·ṯat·tāh,

And you shall set

אֵ֖ת

’êṯ

-

מִזְבַּ֣ח

miz·baḥ

הָעֹלָ֑ה

hā·‘ō·lāh;

of the burnt offering

לִפְנֵ֕י

lip̄·nê

פֶּ֖תַח

pe·ṯaḥ

the door

､ מִשְׁכַּ֥ן

miš·kan

of the tabernacle ､

אֹֽהֶל־

’ō·hel-

of the tent

. מוֹעֵֽד׃

mō·w·‘êḏ.

וְנָֽתַתָּ֙

wə·nā·ṯa·tā

And you shall set

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַכִּיֹּ֔ר

hak·kî·yōr,

בֵּֽין־

bên-

אֹ֥הֶל

’ō·hel

מוֹעֵ֖ד

mō·w·‘êḏ

וּבֵ֣ין

ū·ḇên

and

､ הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ;

the altar ､

וְנָתַתָּ֥

wə·nā·ṯa·tā

and put

שָׁ֖ם

šām

in it

. מָֽיִם׃

mā·yim.

וְשַׂמְתָּ֥

wə·śam·tā

And You shall set up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הֶחָצֵ֖ר

he·ḥā·ṣêr

､ סָבִ֑יב

sā·ḇîḇ;

וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔

wə·nā·ṯa·tā,

and hang up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מָסַ֖ךְ

mā·saḵ

the screen at

שַׁ֥עַר

ša·‘ar

. הֶחָצֵֽר׃

he·ḥā·ṣêr.

the court .

וְלָקַחְתָּ֙

wə·lā·qaḥ·tā

And you shall take

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

שֶׁ֣מֶן

še·men

､ הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה

ham·miš·ḥāh,

the anointing ､

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥

ū·mā·šaḥ·tā

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן

ham·miš·kān

the tabernacle ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

כָּל־

kāl-

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

that [is]

､ בּ֑וֹ

bōw;

in it ､

וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥

wə·qid·daš·tā

and you shall consecrate

אֹת֛וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

it

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

כָּל־

kāl-

､ כֵּלָ֖יו

kê·lāw

its utensils ､

וְהָ֥יָה

wə·hā·yāh

and it shall be

. קֹֽדֶשׁ׃

qō·ḏeš.

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֛

ū·mā·šaḥ·tā

And You shall anoint

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מִזְבַּ֥ח

miz·baḥ

､ הָעֹלָ֖ה

hā·‘ō·lāh

of the burnt offering ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

כָּל־

kāl-

､ כֵּלָ֑יו

kê·lāw;

its utensils ､

וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֙

wə·qid·daš·tā

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ,

the altar ､

וְהָיָ֥ה

wə·hā·yāh

and shall be

הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

קֹ֥דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš

. קָֽדָשִֽׁים׃

qā·ḏā·šîm.

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥

ū·mā·šaḥ·tā

And you shall anoint

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַכִּיֹּ֖ר

hak·kî·yōr

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ כַּנּ֑וֹ

kan·nōw;

וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֖

wə·qid·daš·tā

. אֹתֽוֹ׃

’ō·ṯōw.

it .

וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֤

wə·hiq·raḇ·tā

And you shall bring

אֶֽת־

’eṯ-

-

אַהֲרֹן֙

’a·hă·rōn

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

בָּנָ֔יו

bā·nāw,

אֶל־

’el-

to

פֶּ֖תַח

pe·ṯaḥ

the door

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

of the tabernacle

､ מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

of meeting ､

וְרָחַצְתָּ֥

wə·rā·ḥaṣ·tā

and wash

אֹתָ֖ם

’ō·ṯām

. בַּמָּֽיִם׃

bam·mā·yim.

with water .

וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֙

wə·hil·baš·tā

And You shall put on

אֶֽת־

’eṯ-

-

אַהֲרֹ֔ן

’a·hă·rōn,

אֵ֖ת

’êṯ

the

בִּגְדֵ֣י

biḡ·ḏê

､ הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ

haq·qō·ḏeš;

holy ､

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥

ū·mā·šaḥ·tā

､ אֹת֛וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

him ､

וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥

wə·qid·daš·tā

､ אֹת֖וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

him ､

וְכִהֵ֥ן

wə·ḵi·hên

that he may minister as priest

. לִֽי׃

lî.

to Me .

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

And

בָּנָ֖יו

bā·nāw

､ תַּקְרִ֑יב

taq·rîḇ;

you shall bring ､

וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֥

wə·hil·baš·tā

אֹתָ֖ם

’ō·ṯām

– כֻּתֳּנֹֽת׃

kut·to·nōṯ.

with tunics –

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֣

ū·mā·šaḥ·tā

and You shall anoint

אֹתָ֗ם

’ō·ṯām,

כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

מָשַׁ֙חְתָּ֙

mā·šaḥ·tā

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ אֲבִיהֶ֔ם

’ă·ḇî·hem,

their father ､

– וְכִהֲנ֖וּ

wə·ḵi·hă·nū

that they may minister as priests –

לִ֑י

lî;

to Me

וְ֠הָיְתָה

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

and

לִהְיֹ֨ת

lih·yōṯ

for shall surely be

לָהֶ֧ם

lā·hem

to me

מָשְׁחָתָ֛ם

mā·šə·ḥā·ṯām

their anointing

､ לִכְהֻנַּ֥ת

liḵ·hun·naṯ

a priesthood ､

עוֹלָ֖ם

‘ō·w·lām

. לְדֹרֹתָֽם׃

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯām

throughout their generations .

וַיַּ֖עַשׂ

way·ya·‘aś

– מֹשֶׁ֑ה

mō·šeh;

כְּ֠כֹל

kə·ḵōl

according to all

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

צִוָּ֧ה

ṣiw·wāh

יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

､ אֹת֖וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

him ､

כֵּ֥ן

kên

so

. עָשָֽׂה׃

‘ā·śāh.

he did .

And it came to pass

בַּחֹ֧דֶשׁ

in the month

､ הָרִאשׁ֛וֹן

בַּשָּׁנָ֥ה

baš·šā·nāh

of the year

､ הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית

haš·šê·nîṯ

בְּאֶחָ֣ד

bə·’e·ḥāḏ

on the first [day]

､ לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ

la·ḥō·ḏeš;

of the month ､

הוּקַ֖ם

hū·qam

[that] was raised up

. הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן׃

ham·miš·kān.

the tabernacle .

וַיָּ֨קֶם

way·yā·qem

So raised up

מֹשֶׁ֜ה

mō·šeh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֗ן

ham·miš·kān,

the tabernacle ､

וַיִּתֵּן֙

way·yit·tên

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ אֲדָנָ֔יו

’ă·ḏā·nāw,

its sockets ､

וַיָּ֙שֶׂם֙

way·yā·śem

and set up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ קְרָשָׁ֔יו

qə·rā·šāw,

וַיִּתֵּ֖ן

way·yit·tên

and put in

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ בְּרִיחָ֑יו

bə·rî·ḥāw;

וַיָּ֖קֶם

way·yā·qem

and raised up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. עַמּוּדָֽיו׃

‘am·mū·ḏāw.

וַיִּפְרֹ֤שׂ

way·yip̄·rōś

And he spread out

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הָאֹ֙הֶל֙

hā·’ō·hel

the tent

עַל־

‘al-

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן

ham·miš·kān,

the tabernacle ､

וַיָּ֜שֶׂם

way·yā·śem

and put

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מִכְסֵ֥ה

miḵ·sêh

הָאֹ֛הֶל

hā·’ō·hel

of the tent

עָלָ֖יו

‘ā·lāw

it

､ מִלְמָ֑עְלָה

mil·mā·‘ə·lāh;

on top ､

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

ka·’ă·šer

of as

צִוָּ֥ה

ṣiw·wāh

יְהוָ֖ה

､ הָ֣אָרֹ֔ן

hā·’ā·rōn,

the ark ､

וַיָּ֥שֶׂם

way·yā·śem

אֶת־

’eṯ-

הַבַּדִּ֖ים

hab·bad·dîm

עַל־

‘al-

､ הָאָרֹ֑ן

hā·’ā·rōn;

the [rings of] the ark ､

וַיִּתֵּ֧ן

way·yit·tên

and put

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת

hak·kap·pō·reṯ

עַל־

‘al-

on

הָאָרֹ֖ן

hā·’ā·rōn

the ark

. מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃

mil·mā·‘ə·lāh.

on top .

וַיָּבֵ֣א

way·yā·ḇê

And he brought

אֶת־

’eṯ-

הָאָרֹן֮

hā·’ā·rōn

the ark

אֶל־

’el-

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּן֒

ham·miš·kān

the tabernacle ､

וַיָּ֗שֶׂם

way·yā·śem,

and hung up

אֵ֚ת

’êṯ

-

פָּרֹ֣כֶת

pā·rō·ḵeṯ

the veil

､ הַמָּסָ֔ךְ

ham·mā·sāḵ,

of the covering ､

וַיָּ֕סֶךְ

way·yā·seḵ

and

עַ֖ל

‘al

partitioned off

אֲר֣וֹן

’ă·rō·wn

the ark

– הָעֵד֑וּת

hā·‘ê·ḏūṯ;

of the Testimony –

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

the table ､

the side

הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן

. נֶֽגְבָּה׃

וַיַּ֥עַל

way·ya·‘al

And he lit

הַנֵּרֹ֖ת

han·nê·rōṯ

לִפְנֵ֣י

lip̄·nê

､ יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

צִוָּ֥ה

ṣiw·wāh

יְהוָ֖ה

And He put

הַזָּהָ֖ב

the gold

בְּאֹ֣הֶל

bə·’ō·hel

in the tabernacle

מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

לִפְנֵ֖י

lip̄·nê

. הַפָּרֹֽכֶת׃

hap·pā·rō·ḵeṯ.

of the veil .

וַיַּקְטֵ֥ר

way·yaq·ṭêr

And he burned

עָלָ֖יו

‘ā·lāw

on it

קְטֹ֣רֶת

qə·ṭō·reṯ

､ סַמִּ֑ים

sam·mîm;

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

צִוָּ֥ה

ṣiw·wāh

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. מֹשֶֽׁה׃

mō·šeh.

And He hung up

עָלָ֗יו

the burnt offering

､ הַמִּנְחָ֔ה

the grain offering ､

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

as

צִוָּ֥ה

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. מֹשֶֽׁה׃

And He set

הַכִּיֹּ֔ר

hak·kî·yōr,

בֵּֽין־

bên-

אֹ֥הֶל

’ō·hel

מוֹעֵ֖ד

mō·w·‘êḏ

וּבֵ֣ין

ū·ḇên

and

､ הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ;

the altar ､

וַיִּתֵּ֥ן

way·yit·tên

and put

､ שָׁ֛מָּה

šām·māh

מַ֖יִם

ma·yim

. לְרָחְצָֽה׃

lə·rā·ḥə·ṣāh.

וְרָחֲצ֣וּ

wə·rā·ḥă·ṣū

And would wash [with water]

מִמֶּ֔נּוּ

mim·men·nū,

מֹשֶׁ֖ה

mō·šeh

וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן

wə·’a·hă·rōn

וּבָנָ֑יו

ū·ḇā·nāw;

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יְדֵיהֶ֖ם

yə·ḏê·hem

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

. רַגְלֵיהֶֽם׃

raḡ·lê·hem.

בְּבֹאָ֞ם

bə·ḇō·’ām

Whenever they went

אֶל־

’el-

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

､ מוֹעֵ֗ד

mō·w·‘êḏ,

of meeting ､

וּבְקָרְבָתָ֛ם

ū·ḇə·qā·rə·ḇā·ṯām

and when they came

אֶל־

’el-

､ הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

the altar ､

､ יִרְחָ֑צוּ

yir·ḥā·ṣū;

they washed ､

כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

צִוָּ֥ה

ṣiw·wāh

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. מֹשֶֽׁה׃

mō·šeh.

וַיָּ֣קֶם

And he raised up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הֶחָצֵ֗ר

he·ḥā·ṣêr,

סָבִיב֙

sā·ḇîḇ

לַמִּשְׁכָּ֣ן

lam·miš·kān

､ וְלַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ

wə·lam·miz·bê·aḥ,

and the altar ､

וַיִּתֵּ֕ן

way·yit·tên

and hung up

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מָסַ֖ךְ

שַׁ֣עַר

ša·‘ar

. הֶחָצֵ֑ר

he·ḥā·ṣêr;

the court .

וַיְכַ֥ל

the tabernacle .

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

And not

יָכֹ֣ל

yā·ḵōl

מֹשֶׁ֗ה

mō·šeh,

לָבוֹא֙

lā·ḇō·w

אֶל־

’el-

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

､ מוֹעֵ֔ד

mō·w·‘êḏ,

of meeting ､

כִּֽי־

kî-

שָׁכַ֥ן

šā·ḵan

עָלָ֖יו

‘ā·lāw

､ הֶעָנָ֑ן

he·‘ā·nān;

the cloud ､

וּכְב֣וֹד

ū·ḵə·ḇō·wḏ

and the glory

the tabernacle .

וּבְהֵעָל֤וֹת

ū·ḇə·hê·‘ā·lō·wṯ

And Whenever was taken up

הֶֽעָנָן֙

he·‘ā·nān

מֵעַ֣ל

mê·‘al

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן

ham·miš·kān,

the tabernacle ､

יִסְע֖וּ

yis·‘ū

would go onward

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

בְּכֹ֖ל

bə·ḵōl

in all

– מַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃

mas·‘ê·hem.

their journeys –

וְאִם־

wə·’im-

but if

לֹ֥א

lō

not

יֵעָלֶ֖ה

yê·‘ā·leh

､ הֶעָנָ֑ן

he·‘ā·nān;

the cloud ､

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

then not

יִסְע֔וּ

yis·‘ū,

they did journey

עַד־

‘aḏ-

י֖וֹם

yō·wm

the day

. הֵעָלֹתֽוֹ׃

hê·‘ā·lō·ṯōw.

that it was taken up .

כִּי֩

kî

עֲנַ֨ן

‘ă·nan

יְהוָ֤ה

Yah·weh

עַֽל־

‘al-

הַמִּשְׁכָּן֙

ham·miš·kān

､ יוֹמָ֔ם

yō·w·mām,

by day ､

וְאֵ֕שׁ

wə·’êš

and fire

תִּהְיֶ֥ה

tih·yeh

לַ֖יְלָה

lay·lāh

､ בּ֑וֹ

bōw;

over it ､

לְעֵינֵ֥י

lə·‘ê·nê

in the sight

כָל־

ḵāl

of all

בֵּֽית־

bêṯ-

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

of Israel ､

בְּכָל־

bə·ḵāl

. מַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃

mas·‘ê·hem.

their journeys .
