וַיְשִׁבֵנִי֮

And he brought me back
אֶל־

the door
– הַבַּיִת֒
hab·ba·yiṯ
of the temple –
､ וְהִנֵּה־
wə·hin·nêh-
and there was ､
מַ֣יִם
ma·yim
יֹצְאִ֗ים
yō·ṣə·’îm,
מִתַּ֨חַת
mit·ta·ḥaṯ
מִפְתַּ֤ן
mip̄·tan
הַבַּ֙יִת֙
hab·ba·yiṯ
of the temple
､ קָדִ֔ימָה
qā·ḏî·māh,
toward the east ､
כִּֽי־
kî-
פְנֵ֥י
p̄ə·nê
the front
הַבַּ֖יִת
hab·ba·yiṯ
of the temple
､ קָדִ֑ים
qā·ḏîm;
[faced] east ､
וְהַמַּ֣יִם
wə·ham·ma·yim
and the water
יֹרְדִ֗ים
yō·rə·ḏîm,
מִתַּ֜חַת
mit·ta·ḥaṯ
מִכֶּ֤תֶף
mik·ke·ṯep̄
､ הַבַּ֙יִת֙
hab·ba·yiṯ
of the temple ､
הַיְמָנִ֔ית
hay·mā·nîṯ,
מִנֶּ֖גֶב
min·ne·ḡeḇ
. לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
lam·miz·bê·aḥ.
of the altar .

וַיּוֹצִאֵנִי֮
way·yō·w·ṣi·’ê·nî
And He brought me out
דֶּֽרֶךְ־
de·reḵ-
by way
שַׁ֣עַר
ša·‘ar
of the gate
､ צָפוֹנָה֒
ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh
north ､
וַיְסִבֵּ֙נִי֙
way·sib·bê·nî
and led me around
דֶּ֣רֶךְ
de·reḵ
the way
ח֔וּץ
ḥūṣ,
on the outside
אֶל־
’el-
to
שַׁ֣עַר
ša·‘ar
הַח֔וּץ
ha·ḥūṣ,
the outer
דֶּ֖רֶךְ
de·reḵ
the way
הַפּוֹנֶ֣ה
hap·pō·w·neh
– קָדִ֑ים
qā·ḏîm;
east –
､ וְהִנֵּה־
wə·hin·nêh-
and there was ､
מַ֣יִם
ma·yim
מְפַכִּ֔ים
mə·p̄ak·kîm,
מִן־
min-
on
הַכָּתֵ֖ף
hak·kā·ṯêp̄
the side
. הַיְמָנִֽית׃
hay·mā·nîṯ.

בְּצֵאת־
bə·ṣêṯ-
הָאִ֥ישׁ
hā·’îš
the man
､ קָדִ֖ים
qā·ḏîm
to the east ､
וְקָ֣ו
wə·qāw
and with the line
בְּיָד֑וֹ
bə·yā·ḏōw;
וַיָּ֤מָד
way·yā·māḏ
and he measured
אֶ֙לֶף֙
’e·lep̄
､ בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה
bā·’am·māh,
cubits ､
וַיַּעֲבִרֵ֥נִי
way·ya·‘ă·ḇi·rê·nî
and he brought me
– בַמַּ֖יִם
ḇam·ma·yim
through the waters –
מֵ֥י
mê
the water [came] [up]
. אָפְסָֽיִם׃
’ā·p̄ə·sā·yim.
[to] [my] ankles .

וַיָּ֣מָד
way·yā·māḏ
､ אֶ֔לֶף
’e·lep̄,
a thousand ､
וַיַּעֲבִרֵ֥נִי
way·ya·‘ă·ḇi·rê·nî
and brought me
– בַמַּ֖יִם
ḇam·ma·yim
through the waters –
מַ֣יִם
ma·yim
the water [came] [up]
. בִּרְכָּ֑יִם
bir·kā·yim;
[to] [my] knees .
וַיָּ֣מָד
way·yā·māḏ
､ אֶ֔לֶף
’e·lep̄,
a thousand ､
וַיַּעֲבִרֵ֖נִי
way·ya·‘ă·ḇi·rê·nî
מֵ֥י
mê
the water [came] [up]
. מָתְנָֽיִם׃
mā·ṯə·nā·yim.
[to] [my] waist .

וַיָּ֣מָד
way·yā·māḏ
– אֶ֔לֶף
’e·lep̄,
a thousand –
נַ֕חַל
na·ḥal
[and] [it] [was] a river
אֲשֶׁ֥ר
’ă·šer
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
אוּכַ֖ל
’ū·ḵal
､ לַעֲבֹ֑ר
la·‘ă·ḇōr;
cross ､
כִּֽי־
kî-
､ גָא֤וּ
ḡā·’ū
הַמַּ֙יִם֙
ham·ma·yim
the water
מֵ֣י
mê
､ שָׂ֔חוּ
śā·ḥū,
in which one [must] swim ､
נַ֖חַל
na·ḥal
אֲשֶׁ֥ר
’ă·šer
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
. יֵעָבֵֽר׃
yê·‘ā·ḇêr.

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר
way·yō·mer
And He said
אֵלַ֖י
’ê·lay
to me
הֲרָאִ֣יתָ
hă·rā·’î·ṯā
בֶן־
ḇen-
､ אָדָ֑ם
’ā·ḏām;
of man ､
וַיּוֹלִכֵ֥נִי
way·yō·w·li·ḵê·nî
and he brought me
וַיְשִׁבֵ֖נִי
way·ši·ḇê·nî
and returned me
שְׂפַ֥ת
śə·p̄aṯ
to the bank
. הַנָּֽחַל׃
han·nā·ḥal.
of the river .

､ בְּשׁוּבֵ֕נִי
bə·šū·ḇê·nî
､ וְהִנֵּה֙
wə·hin·nêh
and there ､
אֶל־
’el-
שְׂפַ֣ת
śə·p̄aṯ
the bank
הַנַּ֔חַל
han·na·ḥal,
of the river
עֵ֖ץ
‘êṣ
רַ֣ב
raḇ
מְאֹ֑ד
mə·’ōḏ;
מִזֶּ֖ה
miz·zeh
on this [side]
. וּמִזֶּֽה׃
ū·miz·zeh.
and on this [side] .

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר
way·yō·mer
And he said
אֵלַ֗י
’ê·lay,
to me
הַמַּ֤יִם
ham·ma·yim
הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙
hā·’êl·leh
יוֹצְאִ֗ים
yō·wṣ·’îm,
אֶל־
’el-
､ הַגְּלִילָה֙
hag·gə·lî·lāh
the region ､
הַקַּדְמוֹנָ֔ה
haq·qaḏ·mō·w·nāh,
וְיָרְד֖וּ
wə·yā·rə·ḏū
עַל־
‘al-
､ הָֽעֲרָבָ֑ה
hā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh;
the valley ､
וּבָ֣אוּ
ū·ḇā·’ū
and enters
､ הַיָּ֔מָּה
hay·yām·māh,
the sea ､
אֶל־
’el-
､ הַיָּ֥מָּה
hay·yām·māh
the sea ､
הַמּֽוּצָאִ֖ים
ham·mū·ṣā·’îm
[when] [it] reaches
[ונרפאו]
wə·nir·pə·’ū
-
(וְנִרְפּ֥וּ)
wə·nir·pū
. הַמָּֽיִם׃
ham·mā·yim.

､ וְהָיָ֣ה
wə·hā·yāh
And it shall be ､
כָל־
ḵāl
נֶ֣פֶשׁ
ne·p̄eš
､ חַיָּ֣ה ׀
ḥay·yāh
living ､
אֲ‍ֽשֶׁר־
’ăšer-
､ יִשְׁרֹ֡ץ
yiš·rōṣ
moves ､
אֶ֣ל
’el
כָּל־
kāl-
אֲשֶׁר֩
’ă·šer
､ יָב֨וֹא
yā·ḇō·w
go ､
– שָׁ֤ם
šām
there –
נַחֲלַ֙יִם֙
na·ḥă·la·yim
the rivers
. יִֽחְיֶ֔ה
yiḥ·yeh,
will live .
וְהָיָ֥ה
wə·hā·yāh
And there will be
､ הַדָּגָ֖ה
had·dā·ḡāh
a [multitude] of fish ､
רַבָּ֣ה
rab·bāh
מְאֹ֑ד
mə·’ōḏ;
כִּי֩
kî
בָ֨אוּ
ḇā·’ū
go
שָׁ֜מָּה
šām·māh
הַמַּ֣יִם
ham·ma·yim
הָאֵ֗לֶּה
hā·’êl·leh,
– וְיֵרָֽפְאוּ֙
wə·yê·rā·p̄ə·’ū
and for they will be healed –
וָחָ֔י
wā·ḥāy,
and will live
כֹּ֛ל
kōl
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
יָ֥בוֹא
yā·ḇō·w
שָׁ֖מָּה
šām·māh
. הַנָּֽחַל׃
han·nā·ḥal.
the river .

､ וְהָיָה֩
wə·hā·yāh
And it shall be ､
[יעמדו]
ya·‘am·ḏū
-
(עָמְד֨וּ)
‘ā·mə·ḏū
will stand
עָלָ֜יו
‘ā·lāw
by it
דַּוָּגִ֗ים
daw·wā·ḡîm,
מֵעֵ֥ין
mê·‘ên
גֶּ֙דִי֙
ge·ḏî
En Gedi
וְעַד־
wə·‘aḏ-
and to
עֵ֣ין
‘ên
-
– עֶגְלַ֔יִם
‘eḡ·la·yim,
En Eglaim –
מִשְׁט֥וֹחַ
miš·ṭō·w·aḥ
– לַֽחֲרָמִ֖ים
la·ḥă·rā·mîm
יִהְי֑וּ
yih·yū;
they will be [places]
､ לְמִינָה֙
lə·mî·nāh
of the same kinds ､
תִּהְיֶ֣ה
tih·yeh
will be
דְגָתָ֔ם
ḏə·ḡā·ṯām,
כִּדְגַ֛ת
kiḏ·ḡaṯ
as the fish
､ הַיָּ֥ם
hay·yām
of the Sea ､
הַגָּד֖וֹל
hag·gā·ḏō·wl
רַבָּ֥ה
rab·bāh
. מְאֹֽד׃
mə·’ōḏ.

[בצאתו]
biṣ·ṣō·ṯōw
-
(בִּצֹּאתָ֧יו)
biṣ·ṣō·ṯāw
וּגְבָאָ֛יו
ū·ḡə·ḇā·’āw
וְלֹ֥א
wə·lō
and not
– יֵרָפְא֖וּ
yê·rā·p̄ə·’ū
will be healed –
לְמֶ֥לַח
lə·me·laḥ
to salt
. נִתָּֽנוּ׃
nit·tā·nū.
they will be given over .

וְעַל־
wə·‘al-
And
הַנַּ֣חַל
han·na·ḥal
of the river
יַעֲלֶ֣ה
ya·‘ă·leh
will grow
עַל־
‘al-
שְׂפָת֣וֹ
śə·p̄ā·ṯōw
the bank
מִזֶּ֣ה ׀
miz·zeh
on this [side]
､ וּמִזֶּ֣ה ׀
ū·miz·zeh
and on this [side] ､
כָּל־
kāl-
all [kinds] [of]
עֵֽץ־
‘êṣ-
､ מַ֠אֲכָל
ma·’ă·ḵāl
[used] for food ､
לֹא־
lō-
not
､ יִבּ֨וֹל
yib·bō·wl
will wither ､
עָלֵ֜הוּ
‘ā·lê·hū
וְלֹֽא־
wə·lō-
and not
. יִתֹּ֣ם
yit·tōm
will fail .
פִּרְי֗וֹ
pir·yōw,
､ לָֽחֳדָשָׁיו֙
lā·ḥo·ḏā·šāw
יְבַכֵּ֔ר
yə·ḇak·kêr,
כִּ֣י
kî
מֵימָ֔יו
mê·māw,
מִן־
min-
､ הַמִּקְדָּ֖שׁ
ham·miq·dāš
the sanctuary ､
הֵ֣מָּה
hêm·māh
is
יֽוֹצְאִ֑ים
yō·wṣ·’îm;
[והיו]
wə·hā·yū
-
(וְהָיָ֤ה)
wə·hā·yāh
will be
פִרְיוֹ֙
p̄ir·yōw
､ לְמַֽאֲכָ֔ל
lə·ma·’ă·ḵāl,
for food ､
וְעָלֵ֖הוּ
wə·‘ā·lê·hū
. לִתְרוּפָֽה׃

תִּתְנַחֲל֣וּ
tiṯ·na·ḥă·lū
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
הָאָ֔רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ,
the land
לִשְׁנֵ֥י
liš·nê
עָשָׂ֖ר
‘ā·śār
[and] ten
שִׁבְטֵ֣י
šiḇ·ṭê
the tribes
– יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל
yiś·rā·’êl;
of Israel –
יוֹסֵ֖ף
yō·w·sêp̄
. חֲבָלִֽים׃
ḥă·ḇā·lîm.

וּנְחַלְתֶּ֤ם
ū·nə·ḥal·tem
אוֹתָהּ֙
’ō·w·ṯāh
it
אִ֣ישׁ
’îš
– כְּאָחִ֔יו
kə·’ā·ḥîw,
with one another –
אֲשֶׁ֤ר
’ă·šer
נָשָׂ֙אתִי֙
nā·śā·ṯî
I raised in an oath
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
יָדִ֔י
yā·ḏî,
My hand
לְתִתָּ֖הּ
lə·ṯit·tāh
to give it
､ לַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם
la·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem;
to your fathers ､
וְנָ֨פְלָ֜ה
wə·nā·p̄ə·lāh
הָאָ֧רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ
הַזֹּ֛את
haz·zōṯ
לָכֶ֖ם
lā·ḵem
to you
. בְּנַחֲלָֽה׃
bə·na·ḥă·lāh.

וְזֶ֖ה
wə·zeh
And this [shall] [be]
גְּב֣וּל
gə·ḇūl
the border
הָאָ֑רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ;
of the land
､ לִפְאַ֨ת
lip̄·’aṯ
on the ､
צָפ֜וֹנָה
ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh
מִן־
min-
､ הַיָּ֧ם
hay·yām
the Sea ､
הַגָּד֛וֹל
hag·gā·ḏō·wl
הַדֶּ֥רֶךְ
had·de·reḵ
[by] the road to
､ חֶתְלֹ֖ן
ḥeṯ·lōn
לְב֥וֹא
lə·ḇō·w
– צְדָֽדָה׃
ṣə·ḏā·ḏāh.
to Zedad –

Hamath ､
､ בֵּר֙וֹתָה֙

which [is]

the border
דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק

וּבֵ֖ין

the border
– חֲמָ֑ת
ḥă·māṯ;
of Hamath –
חָצֵר֙
ḥā·ṣêr
to
､ הַתִּיכ֔וֹן
hat·tî·ḵō·wn,
אֲשֶׁ֖ר

which [is]
אֶל־
’el-
on
גְּב֥וּל
gə·ḇūl
the border
. חַוְרָֽן׃
ḥaw·rān.
of Hauran .

וְהָיָ֨ה

מִן־

הַיָּ֗ם
hay·yām,
the Sea
חֲצַ֤ר
ḥă·ṣar
to
､ עֵינוֹן֙
‘ê·nō·wn
גְּב֣וּל
gə·ḇūl
the border
､ דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק
dam·me·śeq,
of Damascus ､
וְצָפ֥וֹן ׀
wə·ṣā·p̄ō·wn
and as for the north
､ צָפ֖וֹנָה
ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh
וּגְב֣וּל
ū·ḡə·ḇūl
and it is the border
. חֲמָ֑ת
ḥă·māṯ;
of Hamath .
וְאֵ֖ת
wə·’êṯ
And
פְּאַ֥ת
pə·’aṯ
[This] [is] the side
. צָפֽוֹן׃
ṣā·p̄ō·wn.

And On the side

､ חַוְרָ֣ן
ḥaw·rān
Hauran ､
וּמִבֵּין־
ū·mib·bên-
and
､ דַּמֶּשֶׂק֩
dam·me·śeq
וּמִבֵּ֨ין
ū·mib·bên
､ הַגִּלְעָ֜ד
hag·gil·‘āḏ
Gilead ､
וּמִבֵּ֨ין
ū·mib·bên
and
אֶ֤רֶץ
’e·reṣ
the land
יִשְׂרָאֵל֙
yiś·rā·’êl
､ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן
hay·yar·dên,
the along Jordan ､
מִגְּב֛וּל
mig·gə·ḇūl
the border
עַל־
‘al-
and along
. הַיָּ֥ם
hay·yām
the of sea .
הַקַּדְמוֹנִ֖י
haq·qaḏ·mō·w·nî
תָּמֹ֑דּוּ
tā·mōd·dū;
וְאֵ֖ת
wə·’êṯ
and
פְּאַ֥ת
pə·’aṯ
[This] [is] the side
. קָדִֽימָה׃

And the side [shall] [be]
נֶ֣גֶב
ne·ḡeḇ
､ תֵּימָ֔נָה
tê·mā·nāh,
toward the South ､
מִתָּמָ֗ר
mit·tā·mār,
עַד־
‘aḏ-
to
מֵי֙
mê
the waters of
מְרִיב֣וֹת
mə·rî·ḇō·wṯ
､ קָדֵ֔שׁ
qā·ḏêš,
by Kadesh ､
נַחֲלָ֖ה
na·ḥă·lāh
אֶל־
’el-
to
. הַיָּ֣ם
hay·yām
the Sea .
הַגָּד֑וֹל
hag·gā·ḏō·wl;
וְאֵ֥ת
wə·’êṯ
and
פְּאַת־
pə·’aṯ-
[This] [is] the side
תֵּימָ֖נָה
tê·mā·nāh
. נֶֽגְבָּה׃
neḡ·bāh.

וּפְאַת־
ū·p̄ə·’aṯ-
And the side [shall] [be]
יָם֙
yām
הַיָּ֣ם
hay·yām
the Sea
הַגָּד֔וֹל
hag·gā·ḏō·wl,
､ מִגְּב֕וּל
mig·gə·ḇūl
עַד־
‘aḏ-
נֹ֖כַח
nō·ḵaḥ
לְב֣וֹא
lə·ḇō·w
. חֲמָ֑ת
ḥă·māṯ;
זֹ֖את
zōṯ
This [is]
פְּאַת־
pə·’aṯ-
the side
. יָֽם׃
yām.

וְחִלַּקְתֶּ֞ם
wə·ḥil·laq·tem
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
הָאָ֧רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ
הַזֹּ֛את
haz·zōṯ
לָכֶ֖ם
lā·ḵem
לְשִׁבְטֵ֥י
lə·šiḇ·ṭê
. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
yiś·rā·’êl.
of Israel .
22
､ וְהָיָ֗ה
wə·hā·yāh,
And it shall be ､
תַּפִּ֣לוּ
tap·pi·lū
that you will divide by lot
אוֹתָהּ֮
’ō·w·ṯāh
it
בְּנַחֲלָה֒
bə·na·ḥă·lāh
לָכֶ֗ם
lā·ḵem,
וּלְהַגֵּרִים֙
ū·lə·hag·gê·rîm
and for the strangers
הַגָּרִ֣ים
hag·gā·rîm
בְּתוֹכְכֶ֔ם
bə·ṯō·wḵ·ḵem,
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
and who
הוֹלִ֥דוּ
hō·w·li·ḏū
בָנִ֖ים
ḇā·nîm
בְּתֽוֹכְכֶ֑ם
bə·ṯō·wḵ·ḵem;
וְהָי֣וּ
wə·hā·yū
and they shall be
לָכֶ֗ם
lā·ḵem,
to you
כְּאֶזְרָח֙
kə·’ez·rāḥ
בִּבְנֵ֣י
biḇ·nê
– יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
yiś·rā·’êl,
of Israel –
אִתְּכֶם֙
’it·tə·ḵem
with you
יִפְּל֣וּ
yip·pə·lū
בְנַחֲלָ֔ה
ḇə·na·ḥă·lāh,
בְּת֖וֹךְ
bə·ṯō·wḵ
שִׁבְטֵ֥י
šiḇ·ṭê
the tribes
. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
yiś·rā·’êl.
of Israel .

､ וְהָיָ֣ה
wə·hā·yāh
And it shall be ､
בַשֵּׁ֔בֶט
ḇaš·šê·ḇeṭ,
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
､ גָּ֥ר
gār
[that] dwells ､
הַגֵּ֖ר
hag·gêr
אִתּ֑וֹ
’it·tōw;
שָׁ֚ם
m
תִּתְּנ֣וּ
tit·tə·nū
､ נַחֲלָת֔וֹ
na·ḥă·lā·ṯōw,
נְאֻ֖ם
nə·’um
אֲדֹנָ֥י
’ă·ḏō·nāy
the Lord
