Israel ､
､ וְלֹא־
wə·lō-
and not ､
הָלַ֥ךְ
hā·laḵ
he did go
כְּפַֽעַם־
kə·p̄a·‘am-
as at other
､ בְּפַ֖עַם
bə·p̄a·‘am
times ､
לִקְרַ֣את
liq·raṯ
to seek
､ נְחָשִׁ֑ים
nə·ḥā·šîm;
to use sorcery ､
וַיָּ֥שֶׁת
way·yā·šeṯ
but he set
אֶל־
’el-
הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר

and saw

שֹׁכֵ֖ן

– לִשְׁבָטָ֑יו
liš·ḇā·ṭāw;
וַתְּהִ֥י
wat·tə·hî
and came
עָלָ֖יו
‘ā·lāw
ר֥וּחַ
rū·aḥ
the Spirit
. אֱלֹהִֽים׃
’ĕ·lō·hîm.
of God .

And he took up
､ מְשָׁל֖וֹ

､ וַיֹּאמַ֑ר
way·yō·mar;
and said ､

the utterance ､
בִּלְעָם֙

בְּנ֣וֹ

בְעֹ֔ר

of Beor
– וּנְאֻ֥ם

and the utterance –
הַגֶּ֖בֶר
hag·ge·ḇer
of the man
שְׁתֻ֥ם

. הָעָֽיִן׃

the vision
､ שַׁדַּי֙

of the Almighty ､
יֶֽחֱזֶ֔ה
ye·ḥĕ·zeh,
נֹפֵ֖ל

､ וּגְל֥וּי

and open wide ､
. עֵינָֽיִם׃

､ נִטָּ֔יוּ

כְּגַנֹּ֖ת

the river
כַּאֲהָלִים֙
ka·’ă·hā·lîm
､ נָטַ֣ע

planted by ､
יְהוָ֔ה

כַּאֲרָזִ֖ים

עֲלֵי־
‘ă·lê-

the waters .

､ מִדָּ֣לְיָ֔ו
mid·dā·lə·yāw,
וְזַרְע֖וֹ
wə·zar·‘ōw
and his seed [shall be]
､ בְּמַ֣יִם
bə·ma·yim
in waters ､
רַבִּ֑ים
rab·bîm;
וְיָרֹ֤ם
wə·yā·rōm
and shall be higher
מֵֽאֲגַג֙
mê·’ă·ḡaḡ
מַלְכּ֔וֹ
mal·kōw,
וְתִנַּשֵּׂ֖א
wə·ṯin·naś·śê
and shall be exalted
. מַלְכֻתֽוֹ׃
mal·ḵu·ṯōw.

a wild ox –

､ צָרָ֗יו

､ וְעַצְמֹתֵיהֶ֛ם

and their bones ､
יְגָרֵ֖ם

וְחִצָּ֥יו
wə·ḥiṣ·ṣāw
and with his arrows
. יִמְחָֽץ׃

He bows down ､
שָׁכַ֧ב

､ כַּאֲרִ֛י
ka·’ă·rî
as a lion ､
､ וּכְלָבִ֖יא
ū·ḵə·lā·ḇî
and as a lion ､
מִ֣י
mî
؟ יְקִימֶ֑נּוּ
yə·qî·men·nū;
מְבָרֲכֶ֣יךָ
mə·ḇā·ră·ḵe·ḵā
[is] he who blesses you
בָר֔וּךְ
ḇā·rūḵ,
וְאֹרְרֶ֖יךָ

and [is] he who curses you
