מִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו

תַּעֲשׂ֥וּ

. אֹתֽוֹ׃

וְלֹא־

יָכְל֥וּ

לַעֲשֹׂת־

la·‘ă·śōṯ-

הַפֶּ֖סַח

hap·pe·saḥ

בַּיּ֣וֹם

bay·yō·wm

on day

– הַה֑וּא

ha·hū;

that –

וַֽיִּקְרְב֞וּ

way·yiq·rə·ḇū

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

מֹשֶׁ֛ה

mō·šeh

וְלִפְנֵ֥י

wə·lip̄·nê

and

אַהֲרֹ֖ן

’a·hă·rōn

בַּיּ֥וֹם

bay·yō·wm

. הַהֽוּא׃

ha·hū.

וַ֠יֹּאמְרוּ

way·yō·mə·rū

And said

הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים

hā·’ă·nā·šîm

הָהֵ֙מָּה֙

hā·hêm·māh

､ אֵלָ֔יו

’ê·lāw,

to him ､

אֲנַ֥חְנוּ

’ă·naḥ·nū

we

טְמֵאִ֖ים

ṭə·mê·’îm

[became] defiled

לְנֶ֣פֶשׁ

lə·ne·p̄eš

– אָדָ֑ם

’ā·ḏām;

a human –

לָ֣מָּה

lām·māh

､ נִגָּרַ֗ע

nig·gā·ra‘,

are we kept ､

לְבִלְתִּ֨י

lə·ḇil·tî

הַקְרִ֜ב

haq·riḇ

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

קָרְבַּ֤ן

qā·rə·ban

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

בְּמֹ֣עֲד֔וֹ

bə·mō·‘ă·ḏōw,

at its appointed time

בְּת֖וֹךְ

bə·ṯō·wḵ

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

the sons

؟ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

of Israel ؟

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

and said

אֲלֵהֶ֖ם

､ עִמְד֣וּ

Stand still ､

וְאֶשְׁמְעָ֔ה

that I may hear

רְחֹקָ֜הׄ‪‬

､ לָכֶ֗ם

of you ､

your posterity ､

וְעָ֥שָׂה

and he may still keep

they shall leave

וְהָאִישׁ֩

But the man

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

ה֨וּא

､ טָה֜וֹר

וּבְדֶ֣רֶךְ

and on a journey

לֹא־

lō-

not

､ הָיָ֗ה

hā·yāh,

is ､

וְחָדַל֙

wə·ḥā·ḏal

לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ

､ הַפֶּ֔סַח

hap·pe·saḥ,

the Passover ､

וְנִכְרְתָ֛ה

wə·niḵ·rə·ṯāh

and shall be cut off

הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ

han·ne·p̄eš

הַהִ֖וא

ha·hi·w

､ מֵֽעַמֶּ֑יהָ

mê·‘am·me·hā;

from among his people ､

כִּ֣י ׀

kî

קָרְבַּ֣ן

qā·rə·ban

יְהוָ֗ה

הִקְרִיב֙

. בְּמֹ֣עֲד֔וֹ

And if

יָג֨וּר

אִתְּכֶ֜ם

גֵּ֗ר

gêr,

וְעָ֤שָֽׂה

wə·‘ā·śāh

פֶ֙סַח֙

p̄e·saḥ

､ לַֽיהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

of Yahweh ､

כְּחֻקַּ֥ת

kə·ḥuq·qaṯ

according to the rite

､ הַפֶּ֛סַח

hap·pe·saḥ

of the Passover ､

וּכְמִשְׁפָּט֖וֹ

ū·ḵə·miš·pā·ṭōw

and according to its ceremony

כֵּ֣ן

so

– יַעֲשֶׂ֑ה

ya·‘ă·śeh;

he must do –

חֻקָּ֤ה

ḥuq·qāh

אַחַת֙

’a·ḥaṯ

יִהְיֶ֣ה

yih·yeh

לָכֶ֔ם

to you

וְלַגֵּ֖ר

wə·lag·gêr

and both for the stranger

וּלְאֶזְרַ֥ח

ū·lə·’ez·raḥ

. הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

of the land .

כִּסָּ֤ה

הֶֽעָנָן֙

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן

ham·miš·kān,

the tabernacle ､

לְאֹ֖הֶל

lə·’ō·hel

the Tent

､ הָעֵדֻ֑ת

hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ;

of the Testimony ､

וּבָעֶ֜רֶב

ū·ḇā·‘e·reḇ

and from evening

יִהְיֶ֧ה

yih·yeh

it was

עַֽל־

‘al-

הַמִּשְׁכָּ֛ן

ham·miš·kān

כְּמַרְאֵה־

kə·mar·’êh-

like the appearance

､ אֵ֖שׁ

’êš

of fire ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

. בֹּֽקֶר׃

bō·qer.

it was

: תָמִ֔יד

הֶעָנָ֖ן

､ יְכַסֶּ֑נּוּ

covered it [by day] ､

וּמַרְאֵה־

ū·mar·’êh-

and the appearance

אֵ֖שׁ

’êš

. לָֽיְלָה׃

lā·yə·lāh.

by night .

וּלְפִ֞י

הֵעָלֹ֤ת

hê·‘ā·lōṯ

הֶֽעָנָן֙

he·‘ā·nān

מֵעַ֣ל

mê·‘al

､ הָאֹ֔הֶל

hā·’ō·hel,

the tabernacle ､

וְאַ֣חֲרֵי־

wə·’a·ḥă·rê-

כֵ֔ן

ḵên,

יִסְע֖וּ

בְּנֵ֣י

the sons

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

of Israel –

the cloud ､

שָׁ֥ם

would pitch their tents

the sons

the tabernacle ､

And Even when continued long

הֶֽעָנָ֛ן

הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן

יָמִ֣ים

yā·mîm

､ רַבִּ֑ים

rab·bîm;

many ､

וְשָׁמְר֧וּ

wə·šā·mə·rū

and kept

בְנֵי־

ḇə·nê-

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל

yiś·rā·’êl

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מִשְׁמֶ֥רֶת

miš·me·reṯ

､ יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

of Yahweh ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

and not

. יִסָּֽעוּ׃

yis·sā·‘ū.

וְיֵ֞שׁ

wə·yêš

So it was

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

יִהְיֶ֧ה

הֶֽעָנָ֛ן

יָמִ֥ים

מִסְפָּ֖ר

mis·pār

עַל־

‘al-

､ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֑ן

the tabernacle ､

､ יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

of Yahweh ､

. יַחֲנ֔וּ

ya·ḥă·nū,

מֵעֶ֣רֶב

mê·‘e·reḇ

עַד־

‘aḏ-

､ בֹּ֔קֶר

bō·qer,

וְנַעֲלָ֧ה

wə·na·‘ă·lāh

and when was taken up

הֶֽעָנָ֛ן

he·‘ā·nān

､ בַּבֹּ֖קֶר

bab·bō·qer

in the morning ､

– וְנָסָ֑עוּ

wə·nā·sā·‘ū;

then they would journey –

א֚וֹ

’ōw

יוֹמָ֣ם

yō·w·mām

by day

וָלַ֔יְלָה

wā·lay·lāh,

or by night

וְנַעֲלָ֥ה

wə·na·‘ă·lāh

and whenever was taken up

､ הֶעָנָ֖ן

he·‘ā·nān

the cloud ､

. וְנָסָֽעוּ׃

wə·nā·sā·‘ū.

and they would journey .

the sons

but when it was taken up ､
