'As the Lord Lives' in the Bible

The king vowed and said, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life from all distress,

Now therefore, as the Lord lives, who has established me and set me on the throne of David my father and who has made me a house as He promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death today.”

But Micaiah said, “As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I shall speak.”
