'Be of Good Cheer' in the Bible
And he said, "Be of good cheer, fear not: Your God and the God of your fathers hath put you that treasure in your sacks, for I had your money." And he brought Simeon out to them,
Say unto them that are of a fearful heart, "Be of good cheer, and fear not. Behold, your God cometh, to take vengeance, and to reward, God cometh his own self, and will deliver you."
Nevertheless be of good cheer, O Zerubbabel, sayeth the LORD; be of good comfort, O Joshua thou son of Jozadak, high priest: take good hearts unto you also, all ye people of the land, sayeth the LORD of Hosts,
And, lo, they brought unto him a man sick of the palsy, lying in his bed: and when Jesus saw the faith of them, he said to the sick of the palsy, "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee."
And straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, "Be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid."
For they all saw him, and were afraid. And anon he talked with them, and said unto them, "Be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid."
These words have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. For in the world shall ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
The night following God stood by him, and said, "Be of good cheer Paul: For as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness at Rome."
And now I exhort you to be of good cheer, for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you: save of the ship only.
Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God that so it shall be even as it was told me;
