'Do Not Forsake' in the Bible
Be careful that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
Do not forsake me, O Lord;O my God, do not be far from me!
Do not cast me off in the time of old age;Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me,Until I declare Your strength to this generation,Your power to all who are to come.
I shall keep Your statutes;Do not forsake me utterly!
The Lord will accomplish what concerns me;Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting;Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Hear, my son, your father’s instructionAnd do not forsake your mother’s teaching;
“Do not forsake her, and she will guard you;Love her, and she will watch over you.
My son, observe the commandment of your fatherAnd do not forsake the teaching of your mother;
Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend,And do not go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity;Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.
“Why are You like a man dismayed,Like a mighty man who cannot save?Yet You are in our midst, O Lord,And we are called by Your name;Do not forsake us!”
