'In Me' in the Bible
Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”
‘You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or capacity.
The Lord said to Moses, “How long will this people spurn Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?
The angel of the Lord said to Manoah, “Though you detain me, I will not eat your food, but if you prepare a burnt offering, then offer it to the Lord.” For Manoah did not know that he was the angel of the Lord.
Therefore deal kindly with your servant, for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the Lord with you. But if there is iniquity in me, put me to death yourself; for why then should you bring me to your father?”
Then he said to me, ‘Please stand beside me and kill me, for agony has seized me because my life still lingers in me.’
Absalom answered Joab, “Behold, I sent for you, saying, ‘Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, “Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me still to be there.”’ Now therefore, let me see the king’s face, and if there is iniquity in me, let him put me to death.”
“He also brought me forth into a broad place;He rescued me, because He delighted in me.
Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!” And God granted him what he requested.
Yet, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father’s house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.
“For the arrows of the Almighty are within me,Their poison my spirit drinks;The terrors of God are arrayed against me.
“Is it that my help is not within me,And that deliverance is driven from me?
Whom I myself shall behold,And whom my eyes will see and not another.My heart faints within me!
For as long as life is in me,And the breath of God is in my nostrils,
“The deep says, ‘It is not in me’;And the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’
“And now my soul is poured out within me;Days of affliction have seized me.
“At night it pierces my bones within me,And my gnawing pains take no rest.
“For I am full of words;The spirit within me constrains me.
‘I am pure, without transgression;I am innocent and there is no guilt in me.
The Lord judges the peoples;Vindicate me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.
He brought me forth also into a broad place;He rescued me, because He delighted in me.
I am poured out like water,And all my bones are out of joint;My heart is like wax;It is melted within me.
My heart was hot within me,While I was musing the fire burned;Then I spoke with my tongue:
These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me.For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God,With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.
Why are you in despair, O my soul?And why have you become disturbed within me?Hope in God, for I shall again praise HimFor the help of His presence.
O my God, my soul is in despair within me;Therefore I remember You from the land of the JordanAnd the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvationAnd sustain me with a willing spirit.

When my anxious thoughts multiply within me,Your consolations delight my soul.
A Psalm of David.Bless the Lord, O my soul,And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
For I am afflicted and needy,And my heart is wounded within me.
Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live;And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
Woe is me, for I sojourn in Meshech,For I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
Surely I have composed and quieted my soul;Like a weaned child rests against his mother,My soul is like a weaned child within me.
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,And lead me in the everlasting way.

“Sustain me with raisin cakes,Refresh me with apples,Because I am lovesick.
At night my soul longs for You,Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;For when the earth experiences Your judgmentsThe inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
“When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you.But the wind will carry all of them up,And a breath will take them away.But he who takes refuge in Me will inherit the landAnd will possess My holy mountain.”
Thus says the Lord,“What injustice did your fathers find in Me,That they went far from MeAnd walked after emptiness and became empty?
My soul, my soul! I am in anguish! Oh, my heart!My heart is pounding in me;I cannot be silent,Because you have heard, O my soul,The sound of the trumpet,The alarm of war.
My sorrow is beyond healing,My heart is faint within me!
As for the prophets:My heart is broken within me,All my bones tremble;I have become like a drunken man,Even like a man overcome with wine,Because of the LordAnd because of His holy words.
Then King Jehoiakim sent men to Egypt: Elnathan the son of Achbor and certain men with him went into Egypt.
For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,” declares the Lord.’”
“Declare in Egypt and proclaim in Migdol,Proclaim also in Memphis and Tahpanhes;Say, ‘Take your stand and get yourself ready,For the sword has devoured those around you.’
“Leave your orphans behind, I will keep them alive;And let your widows trust in Me.”
“See, O Lord, for I am in distress;My spirit is greatly troubled;My heart is overturned within me,For I have been very rebellious.In the street the sword slays;In the house it is like death.
Surely my soul remembersAnd is bowed down within me.
“Your wealth, your wares, your merchandise,Your sailors and your pilots,Your repairers of seams, your dealers in merchandiseAnd all your men of war who are in you,With all your company that is in your midst,Will fall into the heart of the seasOn the day of your overthrow.
But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me for any wisdom residing in me more than in any other living man, but for the purpose of making the interpretation known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.
“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was distressed within me, and the visions in my mind kept alarming me.
So I was left alone and saw this great vision; yet no strength was left in me, for my natural color turned to a deathly pallor, and I retained no strength.
For how can such a servant of my lord talk with such as my lord? As for me, there remains just now no strength in me, nor has any breath been left in me.”
How can I give you up, O Ephraim?How can I surrender you, O Israel?How can I make you like Admah?How can I treat you like Zeboiim?My heart is turned over within Me,All My compassions are kindled.
And Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich,I have found wealth for myself;In all my labors they will find in meNo iniquity, which would be sin.”
