'It is Written' in the Bible
Then they answered him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet,
But he answering said, It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
and saith to him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, "that he shall give his angels a charge concerning thee: and in their hands shall they hold thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone."
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
Then saith Jesus unto him, Avaunt Satan! for it is written, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and to him only thou pay divine adoration."
For this is he of whom it is written, "Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee."
and said unto them, It is written, "My house shall be called a house of prayer," but ye have made it a den of robbers.
The Son of man indeed is departing, as it is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed! well had it been for that man if he had never had a being.
Then saith Jesus unto them, Ye all will be offended at me this night: for it is written, "I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad."

And Jesus answering him, said, Get thee behind me, Satan, for it is written, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and to him alone shalt thou pay divine honour."
for it is written, "He shall give his angels a charge over thee, to guard thee safely;
And there was given to him the book of the prophet Isaiah: and unrolling the volume, he found the passage where it is written,
For this is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of robbers.
and said to them, That thus it is written, and thus must the Messiah suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day
Our fathers did eat manna in the wilderness; as it is written, "He gave them bread from heaven to eat."
It is written in the prophets, And "they shall all be taught of God." Every one therefore who heareth from the Father, and learneth, cometh to me.
