'King of Kings' in the Bible
Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, an expert in the law of the God of heaven: Greetings.
For this is what the Lord God says: “See, I am about to bring King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, king of kings, against Tyre from the north with horses, chariots, cavalry, and a vast company of troops.
Your Majesty, you are king of kings. The God of heaven has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.
God will bring this about in His own time. He isthe blessed and only Sovereign,the King of kings,and the Lord of lords,
These will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings. Those with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh: KING OF KINGSAND LORD OF LORDS.
