'No Peace' in the Bible
In those times there was no peace to him who went out or to him who came in, for many disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands.
“There is no peace for the wicked,” says the Lord.
“There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
“They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially,Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’But there is no peace.
“They heal the brokenness of the daughter of My people superficially,Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’But there is no peace.
“On all the bare heights in the wildernessDestroyers have come,For a sword of the Lord is devouringFrom one end of the land even to the other;There is no peace for anyone.
“For thus says the Lord,‘I have heard a sound of terror,Of dread, and there is no peace.
It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying, ‘Peace!’ when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash;
along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace,’ declares the Lord God.
For before those days there was no wage for man or any wage for animal; and for him who went out or came in there was no peace because of his enemies, and I set all men one against another.
