'Pray for' in the Bible
But I tell you, Love your enemies, and pray for those that persecute you;
bless those that curse you; pray for those that injure you;
I pray for them. I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine,
And in like manner also the Spirit helps our weakness. For we know not what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings unutterable;
Therefore we also, from the day that we heard, cease not to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
Brothers, pray for us.
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, as also with you,
Pray for us; for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things wishing to live well.
if any one is sick among you, let him send for the elders of the church, and let them pray for him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
If any one sees his brother commit a sin, not to death, he shall ask, and he will give him life, for those who sin not to death. There is a sin to death; I say not that you should pray for it.
