'Pray for' in the Bible
I, however, say to you--Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,
Again, I tell you that, if but two of you on earth agree as to what they shall pray for, whatever it be, it will be granted them by my Father who is in Heaven.
Bless those who curse you, pray for those who insult you.
Therefore let him who, when speaking, uses the gift of 'tongues' pray for ability to interpret them.
We are glad when we are weak, if you are strong. And what we pray for is that you may become perfect.
And what I pray for is this--that your love may grow yet stronger and stronger, with increasing knowledge and all discernment,
And at the same time pray for us, that God may give us an opening for our Message, so that we may speak of the truths hidden in the Christ--the truths for which I am in chains!
Brothers, pray for us.
In conclusion, Brothers, pray for us--pray that the Lord's Message may spread rapidly, and be received everywhere with honour, as it was among you;
Pray for us, for we are sure that our consciences are clear, since our wish is to be occupied with what is good.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be cured. Great is the power of a good man's fervent prayer.
